    Today is J.D.'s 1st Birthday in Heaven.

    Happy Birthday, J.D. I miss you so very much. I wish you a perfect day, with soft green grass and gentle breezes and trees to climb, and lots of moths and things to chase, and friends to scamper with, and your favorite Birthday treat of some lobster just for you. I love you. Hugs, pets, and kisses.

    I've been trying to think of some appropriate words since I saw your post but everything sounds so clumsy and insignificant. J.D. was such an awesome kitty and so loved and I'm sure you still miss him so painfully I hope today is a little sweet too as you remember the wonderful life you had together :bighug::bighug::bighug:

    He is a most special grand cat, Dyana. I'll toast him this evening as I look to the night sky searching for just the perfect J.D. star. Some tears, some smiles, so many memories. Happy Birthday dear boy.

    After dinner, both Ginger and Jackson got some shrimp, in J.D.'s honor. And licked their bowls clean.

    Ah, JD. We all miss you. Such a handsome boy, and you carried yourself so well. Going for walks with Mama and Ginger, or just hanging out and enjoying the sunshine. I hope you had a beautiful day there over the bridge, and enjoyed the company of all the GAs, especially the ones that have crossed most recently - your dear friends. Scritches to you.

    And hugs to you, Dyana. I know you miss him so. I hope Ginger and Jackson are filling that big heart of yours, although I know a corner of it will always be JD's. :bighug:

    I hadn't realized how much gray was mixed in his hair , my two new tux's have the grays too. Shadow didn't.
    The pictures were so good!

    Well, he was like 100 in people years.

    I got this message this morning, it was just a thought, that maybe he just died in his sleep and it was just old age, and I ... can stop feeling guilty, I wasn't there. Tears :(.
