I created a new spreadsheet for my boy, Wally, because I've switched him from ProZinc to Lantus and thought a new spreadsheet would make sense. BUT - I can't remember how to make it public.

I tried adding the html link to my signature, but it only goes to my Google login page and doesn't open the spreadsheet.

Any help is appreciated.

Go to the "Share" option at the top right corner of your SS and select "Anyone with the link"

Nope! I can see your Prozinc SS but not your Lantus one. Could you share a screenshot of the Share setting on the SS?

ETA: The link that you should be sharing should be the one that is displayed under "Get Link" in the Share setting page. Click on "Copy Link" and paste that in your signature.

Actually, what we usually suggest is just putting a "line" in between the ProZinc numbers and the Lantus numbers so we can still easily see the numbers you were getting with the ProZinc for the last few weeks. Something like this: (only yours would say L A N T U S)

That being said, I think you should have started the Lantus at 2U (or maybe 1.75), not dropped back to 1U. When changing insulin types, you don't "start over" at the usual starting dose of the Lantus. We take into consideration the dose you were on using the ProZinc and the results you had been getting

Thanks for the advice. I asked my vet about the starting dose and she thought 1 unit was good as well. She' actually pretty knowledgeable about diabetes, and I'll run this by her.
And I can certainly continue using my original spreadsheet so folks can see his past numbers on ProZinc.

Asked my vet about increasing Wally's dosage and she agreed. I upped it to 1.5 units this morning before she emailed me. She said to increase to 2 units BID if warranted. Thanks to Chris and China for the dosing advice.
And, yes, Wally is adorable and the sweetest kitty. He literally now comes and asks for testing, purrs through the whole thing and makes life so much easier that way. He alerts me when his sugar is low by begging for food and has prevented going hypo because of this. Here's a photo of him with his best friend, Sebastian.
