Rupert has been on vetsulin for 6 months now. His numbers are still all over the place. Is it time to ask the vet to change to a different insulin?

I switched from Vetsulin to Prozinc. We like it much more. It costs more, but one vile lasts Callie 3 months.

Six months is a long enough time to assess an insulin. You could try ProZinc or even one of the depot insulins, Lantus or Levemir.

I pay $130, including shipping, from Allvet. One vial lasts Callie more than 3 months.
