Is 232 okay to dose

Still on Prozinc today but will switch to lantus tomorrow. Just tested at 232 for PSPM. Is it okay to give regular dose of 2 U. I think it is but just wanted reassurance.
 
You have shot a 240 before which is very similar. But can you monitor the cycle. I see very few night time tests at all for your kitty. Many cats drop a bit lower at night. It's important to be able to gather data on how your particular cat behaves at night with regard to BG.
 
With Lantus, it is going to be very important to be as consistent as possible with the dose and to get some mid-cycle tests in... for safety reasons... so we can see how low the dose it taking your kitty -- since the dose is based on the cat's nadir (lowest point in the cycle.)
 
And sorry, nobody responded to you before this. I personally haven't been on the Board much this week because of having a critically ill cat. But I just thought I would chime in since I saw this in my email.
 
So if you haven't shot yet, you could retest and see where your handsome Oscar is now (love a nice big orange boy!) because he's likely gone higher... although if you fed the number would be even higher so it would make it a little harder to determine what to do.

Yes I plan on testing tonight at PMPS +3. I will start the lantus tomorrow morning and test through the day since it’s new.

Yes I did give him his shot after he ate a whole can of fancy feast. He is a sweet boy. I always tell him how brave he is to get tested and how proud of him I am! Today I sang him a song.
