Good morning! Johnny saw the vet yesterday and he is very pleased with his numbers from the spreadsheet (seriously, that thing has been a life saver and so helpful in communication). He also agreed to stick with the current method of drop dosing to ensure a long, strong remission. The vet is not sold on my thinking that the diabetes was caused by my excessive use of Tresaderm and thinks that maybe it was the result of a pancreas infection, which is why his BG dropped so fast after treatment was started and the antibiotic did its thing. I'm not sure I'm totally sold on that theory since Johnny did not have any of the pancreatitis symptoms...so I am just going to leave this as one of life's great mysteries of which we may never receive an answer. Fortunately, we have a break from check-ups and don't have to go back until a month from now for his senior wellness exam. Anyhoo, thank you all for your support and wanted to update you on his progress.
