I went to bed, so it wasn't me. Maybe Eeyore or Esse got on here and cursed me out...pokin' them all the time, makin' them bleed...'course they have on occasion made me bleed, too...but whatever.

I know some curse words in sign language...does that count?

My favorite phowl word to use is German but I don't know how to spell it. Most people don't know what it means so I got away with using it at work... except that one time the Army guy understood me but he just laughed

it was me. I said a condensed, past tense version of the f word. It wasn't swearing so I thought it was allowed. Guess not.

We all need reminding from time to time that others may not take things the way we mean them. Too bad we can't post this PSA in all the newspapers nationwide!

What a fun thread to read through - thanks for bumping again Wendy! Much love and admiration for Jill and all those in our memories. The continuation from years ago is beautiful:)
With the current events and life's hardships, this bump was great;)

They can??? That's like when Bart Simpson found out what "your permanent record" really meant. He erased the comments and they just kept reappearing on the page.
I tried to slip a few past Jill, it just never worked. :blackeye:
The Sid Vicious reference makes me laugh because at one time when I was more naïve then I am now I thought Marianne Faithfull was such a nice name.
Gosh, she must have been the girl next door. Maybe this is folk music! That is some real potty mouth stuff, I have it on vinyl. Anyone who wants the lyrics will
    just have to Google it.
My high school "girl next door" was a real ess-el-you-tee. (well she was and no you didn't have to be there)

I never watched it but the second Battlestar Galactica made the censors nuts with "Frak" and "Fraking". Oil field "fracking" was already acceptable language on the evening news and everyone knew what the reference was so there was nothing anyone could do about it. That's a shame no?

Prime time word blunder (and a word I personally really hate)
    Category "Tool Time"
Alex Trebek "This term for a long-handled gardening tool can also mean an immoral pleasure seeker"
    Ken Jennings "What's a hoe?"
In Canada all retail products are labeled in French and English. Those Mr. Clean pads are tampons, if you have acid reflux problems it's best to get douce taco sauce. Shopping with kids at the pharmacy is fun. It's okay to snicker at Bowel Buddy biscuits but go ask mommy what Vagisil is. No, suppositories do NOT come in a bigger size.
