Before Susie was diagnosed with diabetes (12/20) I had purchased many cans (3oz) of the Publix Pate cat food. I have not been feeding her them but would like to if the caloric distribution is acceptable. Can any one of you math experts determine the protein, fat and carbohydrate numbers based on the information I obtained from the side of the cans. I would like to feed her these if they are acceptable. Thank you.

    Here's an online calculator:

    https://secure.balanceit.com/tools/_gaconverter/index.php

Plug in the 'as fed' analysis values and it will do the rest. (You don't need the taurine value for the calculations.) You're looking for the calculated "% ME Carb" value to be less than 10.

Note: you need to manually delete the numbers from the boxes between each calculation.

Genius! Thank you! Lowest carbs 6.09%. Highest 7.95%. Not as good as the Fancy Feast but acceptable food for a diabetic cat.
