I have started using Ottai CGM from day before for Shorshe. It’s about 1/3rd the price of Libre sensors here in Thailand.

Unfortunately this is my first time placing the sensor without help and I think I put it on the ribs so the readings are way too high compared to ear prick BG.

In human diabetic forum, people complain that Ottai gives false lows which I have not faced yet. However, yesterday shorshe’s BG did drop quite a bit in the morning when I was away (at that time there was a consistent gap of 40mg/dl between Ottai and contour plus strip tests).

just wondering if anyone else has used this brand of sensors and had any tips to share? @tessa's mom

The sensor almost looks like a Libre 3. The only difference I can se on the top is that the hole in the white disk for the Libre is rount while on the Ottai us us rectangular with rounded corner. Have you joined the FB group Libre for dogs and cats (https://www.facebook.com/groups/libreforpets)? it has good info on locate and prep for using a Libre and those should apply to the Ottai too. A photo of where you attached it woiud be useful. The location should remain relitivey flat with movement of the cat and there should be enough "meat" under the sensor so the filament does not hit something hard.

Yes I am on the group on FB. I think I was nervous about doing it alone for the first time and positioned it a bit wrong.When Shorshe’s BG is in the l and greeens it’s off by about 40(+), sometimes 30. But when it’s in the yellows it’s off by between 60-100 (+). Like right now pre-shot Shorshe is 284 and the Sensor is 340-ish.
