Preshot #s High But Going Low

I have another vet appointment on Friday to assess dosing, and I want to educate myself beforehand. I know I don't have too many days to go on, but it seems to me like the new Young Again Zero Carb food is really helping. Haven't gotten any black numbers since we've started, and I've gotten a couple days of nadirs in the low blue category (yay!!!). It does appear that the drop is quite steep (about 300 points in 3 hours). I am happy to see those lower numbers in the cycle, but what needs to be done to get those preshot numbers down? Do I need to give her body time to adjust to the low carb food before changing dose? Looking for opinions. Thanks!
