Shadow's nadir's are low in day what to do

Not posted for a while about Shadow.

Vets increased his insulin to 4 units twice a day a few weeks ago.

He also has early Stage 3 Kidney Disease.

Past couple of days, his nadir's at + 7 in the cycle have been very low.

Yesterday he was 2.1, today 3.2.

I didn't give insulin last night and he bounced and went above 20!!

Can anyone advise me on dosing please.

Should I give less insulin in the mornings, and still stick to 4 units in the evenings!?

I can't upload a new spreadsheet.

Hi Claire, that 2.1 was hypoglycemic, and as you know the dose absolutely needs to be reduced following hypo. ...It's unsurprising that he bounced after those hypo numbers. I expect you've seen this in the past?
His dose should be reduced morning and evening (quite a few cats actually drop lower at night...).
With Caninsulin - unless the caregiver has VERY good control of the BG - it's best to not 'aim' to have the BG drop below about 5mmol. That's so that there's some buffer of safety in case it does actually dip lower than that (Caninsulin can drop hard and fast...)

What was the previous dose? And how low did Shadow drop on that dose? (I can't see your SS, the numbers are too small for my old eyes...)
