Hello to all the FD pros out there
I’m hoping someone can confirm if I’ve done these calculations correctly - Spencer LOVES this food, and we’ve been struggling with getting him to eat consistently.
I emailed Tiki Cat, and first I’ve gotta say WOW! I’m so impressed, they responded within hours with the full details of 4 lines of their food. Super helpful!
The Dry Matter Values for most of this line sit between 5-6% carbs, but when I multiply the carbs & protein by 3.5 plus multiply the fats by 8.5, the carb % ends up being under 4% for all - am I accurately calculating the ME%? And am I correct that we’re looking for ME% of carbs below 10% for sure and ideally under 5%?
As an aside, if I’m doing this right then the entire line isn’t high enough in protein and has too much fat still, but I’m hoping to use it in a mix with some of the “shredded/in broth” foods that are super high protein and super low carbs (Spence doesn’t seem to like the texture of them though).
I’m inserting a link to Google Docs with the 4 tables I was provided for reference if anyone wants them but doesn’t have them
