To create a new tab in your spreadsheet

For USA users:

As we reach a new year, many people want to create a new tab on their spreadsheets. It becomes a huge file to open for others if the same sheet is continued for a long time. It's not hard to create a new tab. It takes as long to type/read this as it does to actually do it.

@Squeaky and KT - how do you get the 2016 tab to come before the 2015 tab and how do you get the year in the date column to come up as 2016 in each cell instead of having to type in 2016 every day? when I enter the day and month, 2015 automatically gets entered?

LEFT click and hold the tab of the sheet you want to move and drag it where you want it....release mouse button when it's in the new location

Date column is still showing up as 2015 because, for another few hours, it's still 2015. Tomorrow you will get the 2016 year.
