i just spoke to the shelter and tux is doing really good and has they said a better than averager chance of being adopted. they said he's eatting up a storm and is allowing affection.
now i KNOW i did right by him (and by me too)
thank all of you who encouraged me not to just go by my rage and anger and dump him somewhere. it's folks like you all here on the board who go out of their way to do the right thing by these strays and sometimes even a devoted animal person like myself needs encouragement to keep trying when all the doors seem to be closed.
btw, i got him into the shelter i got him into by being somewhat of a nag and, yes, a crazy cat lady.
here's to crazy cat folks everywhere! cheers!

again you all helped with this happy ending. might not have happened this well without you.
and cheryl your phone call with all the support....that's the 2nd time you came thru when a cat was in trouble. will never forget the all nighter you pulled me thru when tom went hypo after 29 days here. wow, has that been nearly 3 years already!
