Just tested Copper's +4 and going to bed and it is 180. Gave the usualy dose of 1.3u (pmps @311). Weird, he has been nothing but flat and higher ps's. Really was planning on going to 1.4u tomorrow am. Now wondering i should hold? It seems like it takes so long for him to breakthrough and adjust to a dose. Usually a cat takes 3-4cycles to get used to the insulin dose, copper seems to take so much longer. Just can't understand him.

I guess i need to stay up another 1hr or so and test. Just did a scheduled feeding. Not sure i can keep my eyes open much longer. Had a really long day.

    Hi Lori,
Glad he is showing some movement
Some cats need more time to adjust to a dose
Shakes is like that so I might hold just a bit to see what happens

    Morning Lori, :coffee:

That 180 is certainly a surpise and unexpected. Hope this is the start of something new for you and Copper. Not to mention it seems like the evening PS would have been yellow if not a hour late. This looks good. Glad to see there was movement.

I wished I'd bookmarked it...I was reading it can take up to two weeks for a cat to settle into a dose. Amazing.

The 180 is great for a +4 reading! Wonder how low he goes around +6-+8?

    amps@344 BOUNCE??

not sure how low he got last night, i fell asleep.

Hmmmm.... SHould i give the 1.3u or 1.4u?

If it is a bounce, the 1.4u is not that much of a difference. What do you all think?

Well i gave the 1.4u. Hope it doesn't make him go too low. Will be around most of day to watch him.

Doesn't really seem like a bounce to me. I hope he settles into the dose and gives you some great numbers.

It looks like Copper had a great cycle last night.

I agree, that doesn't look like a bounce, hoping for another good cycle today.

    Recap today on 1.4u(new dose)

    amps @344
    +4 @ 267
    +7@ 269
    pmps@314

Very surprised he didn't go lower on the 1.4u today. Last night he dropped on 1.3u. Just don't understand it all. Seems like his ps #'s are lower on the lower insulin(.8u). I think i'm going in the right direction.Right? I know i need to be patient and let him sit on the new dose for a little bit. Just surprised it stayed flat all day.

Hopefully next cycle will show something.

    Good night all!

    lori
