We're back home now. I had some really high numbers yesterday,so I'm hoping Zoozey's numbers will start to settle down now--after our trip to the vet today. We have our one month post DKA checkup at the vet this afternoon.I can't believe it's been a month. The difference in him is miraculous! He's settled in okay. He didn't eat much this morning, but he has subsequently eaten (and played!) afterward so I think he's feeling okay. He also just meowed loudly so that I would come in to the bedroom and pet his highness. :)

I hope the kibble raid at my parents' house, along with the stress of being away from home hasn't screwed up his numbers too much. Should I be concerned about his all over the place numbers?

I wouldn't be overly concerned given the kibble raid and unfamiliar surroundings. I would, however, get a +3 or +4 given how fast numbers are dropping.

I just got home from the vet, and we had to wait for an hour because my vet was running late. He was stressed while we were there, so I'm guessing his numbers are higher now. I'm going to give him an hour to settle down and then I'll check him again. But, the vet gave Zoozey a clean bill of health! He's gained three pounds and he looks fantastic!
