Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty had a good night, snuggling under the blanket (a blanket on top of the down quilt--that's how cold it was!). This morning he was hanging out in his little bed by the radiator when I took Edward to his yoga class. When I got back we had a combing and the "second sitting" of breakfast. Our Xmas tree comes down today. I'm sure that Rusty will be pleased. He doesn't care for the tree.
(@Marje and Gracie . I'm so happy Tobey will be over to help with the tree. I have some cimmamum treats for him to take home, too.)

It stayed just above zero last night, but really cold weather is on the way (already in the upper mid-west). Parts of our area are expecting up to 2 feet of Lake effect snow tomorrow. And, unfortunately, we may have to be driving through some of that on our way to doctor appointments in Potsdam. We are keeping a close eye on the weather.

Wishing everyone a very fine day: 3 Kings Day. Epiphany. Twelfth Night (or Twelfth Day, depending on which calendar you observe). I always wondered why in our family we took the Xmas tree down on January 6th. Here's what the Wikipedia says: "A belief has arisen in modern times, in some English-speaking countries, that it is unlucky to leave Christmas decorations hanging after Twelfth Night, a tradition originally attached to the festival of Candlemas (2 February) which celebrates the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple."

Brrrrrrrr!! I'd be joining Rusty on the radiator! Nice start, Tess may come over to give a report on the Lagoon AND to help w/ the tree and warm her toes on the radiator.

YES!!! I don't need to feel guilty and lazy for not getting the tree down until February! :woot:

Well done LagoonMeister! :D

I lubs my tree, beans haven't taken it down yet. And I just discovered some wrapping paper under it! ~Neko

Good to see the LagoonMeister back on duty.

But not so good on the weather forecast. Especially if travel is in the plans. Hope all goes well.

Rusty, what's a tree...in the house? I'm afraid my doggy wouldn't understand. Or maybe he'd understand too well! ... Polly

Nice surf for the LagoonMeister. :D:D:D
The tree is now out in the wooded part of our backyard, serving as a windbreak for the deer (there are deer beds molded into the snow all over our woods, but since the snow got wiped out by the rain and thaw the other day, the deer will welcome some additional brush).
Rusty was so happy to see the tree gone; he jumped up on the little table that normally sits in the spot where the tree was!

Off now to visit condos before it's time to watch "Person of Interest".

edited to say that I wrote this about an hour ago and forgot to post it! On the old board I would have lost it!!

Nice surf for Rusty today. It sounds REALLY cold there if you need a blanket on top of a down comforter...brrrr! I love that you gave you tree to the deer...I bet they love it, too. Have a great evening, Ella!
