Yesterday

Good Morning, Everyone,

It's "spring" and it's -1 degree F. in our backyard this morning! I don't think the sap will be flowing in the sugar maples this weekend!
Rusty had a good night, ate all his nighttime food (he really likes Merrick chicken paté these days, so he is getting mostly that in his dish). As long as he eats all-- or most-- of his food, I don't want to complicate things with appetite stimulants. He has always been a grazer. At present he is napping in his little bed by the radiator. I'm about to go downstairs to see if he wants a schmooze.
I am recovering nicely from my injuries. My head and neck are 99% better and my leg/hamstring/glut is much better, too. I think my clumsy attempt at Tai Chi is helping. Today I will go back to riding my bike in the basement on the trainer and rowing on the machine. We are so looking forward to paddling season. The ice is so thick this year that it may be delayed!

Looking good this morning Rusty, a nice mellow blue. Off to the lagoon for you today? I am sorry you have that p'titis thing again, not fun. Good deal on your chicken pate. Mannie liked that stuff too.

I am seriously beginning to wonder when spring will truly hit your area. -1????? A fir sure on the no sap flow. wow, still so cold there. We are cursing in the 50/60/70 range. It has been nice with a few rain showers here and there. We went and saw the tulips yesterday up in the Skagit Valley. That was pretty - fields of color! it was a bit windy to start, but ended up being a decent weather day.

It is great to read that you are feeling so much better! YAY! Keep on healing. it is so tough when we are injured. My shoulder is improving, still a few OUCH now and then, but all in all, much better.

Enjoy your day today, and stay warm!

Grazing is good, Rusty. Keep at it.

Exercise is good, Ella. Indoors is good, too! Keep healing. And for goodness sake, sending some warmer weather wishes your way.

Glad Rusty is doing well and liking his chicken pate'!! I'm also glad you are doing better. That was quite a spill you took!!

I have a few questions to ask you based on the vet's report, especially as it relates to the liver, which was slightly enlarged on the radiograph. But I will hold them until you are less busy. ( I also need to formulate the questions!). I also need to consult with Rusty's regular vet. Linda has already provided me with lots to think about.

-1 is not very spring like, even for the mountains. We are setting record highs this weekend, lovely now but not good for fire season. We are glad to hear you are feeling better. Looks like a flat day for Rusty, mid blues aren't bad. Marje and Linda are awesome.

Thanks for the visits, guys. The day kind of got away from me. Rusty is sitting on the couch with me, eating his dinner. We're going to watch Masterpiece Theater soon. I'm still tired from my mishap in the driveway and the trip to VT, so I hope I don't fall asleep during the program.
Fur shot tonight. I think it was a faulty syringe. Fur shots are particularly unwelcome just when Rusty is getting back to normal numbers!

It was cold enough here today that I think our naked local mountains might have gotten some snow.

I'm glad Rusty is eating well enough that you don't need to give him an appetite stimulant. I hate using them, but I am grateful to have them as a last resort.

Sorry to hear about the fur shot, but it makes me feel a little better about my two oopsies! Knowing someone so experienced does it occasionally too is comforting!

Doh! on the FS but Rusty can never stay away from his beloved lagoon for too long so I'm sure he'll get right back on track.

Glad to hear you're healing nicely and I hope you managed to stay awake for your movie. I'm forever dozing off on the couch of an evening. I usually watch the second best show on TV and record the one I really want to watch!
