There's last night's fur shot! It shows that Rusty really needs his insulin. I took the opportunity to take him back up a drop to a straight .75 units (1.23mm on digital calipers, Terumo syringe). We skinnied the dose for the trip to the vet in VT because we thought that he wouldn't eat much all that day (he ate nothing until we got home!). After 6 cycles of middling results on the skinny .75, I think we can resume what has been a good dose (even though it did take him into the 40s a couple of times; other factors were certainly at work there).

Rusty had a good night and ate most of his nighttime food. I'm continuing to feed him only Merrick's Chicken paté, because when I put it side-by-side in his dish with one of the other foods he usually likes (Wellness; FF T&G), he only eats the Merricks. I guess that is a message. It's so important that he eats with this pancreatitis flare. I hope he doesn't get tired of Merrick's!

More winter weather today with "mixed" precipitation: snow (at the moment), sleet, and freezing rain. I don't think I'll go outside at all today! Not even to the post office. It will be a good day for my paperwork. The pace of my recovery from the accident has slowed. I expect that I won't be 100% for a while yet. But I'm feeling so much better than a few days ago. Thank you all for the vines!

All beans and all kitties have a good week. Easter Week!

I think you should definitely stay indoors today, that weather sounds awful!

Do we need to send the ropes for you Rusty?

Work that juice, Rusty.

You've got some catching up to do......

and oh yeah, stay inside......

Morning Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee:

Ouch on that amps, and bummer on that furshot. oh well... Rusty is good at recovering from them, so hopefully he'll be back to the blues soon enough today. Right Rusty? I do agree though on how those furshots can sometimes tell us that out sugar babies really do need their insulin. Good luck too with the return to what you know is a good dose for him. work that juice Rusty!

Good luck too with the fuds. Mannie alwyas liked the Merrick line. SO agreed with the importance of eating when there is that p'titis flare. I hope that is better now.

Wow, still cold weather there. Where is spring!?!? Good idea to stay inside, and take advantage of a bad weather day.

I will continue to send feel better vines to you. I so get it on that 100%. It is that way for me too with my shoulder. It too is much better, but still not at it's best. It still is good that you feel much better. More vines for you!

Enjoy your day today. I hope all goes well. And Rusty? down you go for a good blue/green surf.

Booooo on the fur shot. He will come back quick though.

Sending more healing vines for you. Staying inside is a good choice I think. I can't believe you are still getting winter weather. It is suppose to be 75 here today.

Have a great day Ella and take it easy.

Sorry about the fur shot. Max's dental confirmed how much Max needed insulin. I knew it but my vet thought perhaps otherwise. I bet he's back on track by tonight! Have a great day and stay warm.

Nice little rainbow slide happening today. Great recovery so far Rusty. Next stop the lagoon?

Good plan to stay inside - that weather sounds miserable. Sending hurry up and heal vines for you Ella.

Full Pink Moon and Easter coming up. :)

Great recovery today, Rusty. Good job. Now, help your mamabean recover, o.k.

Yes, stay inside. That sleety stuff is dangerous.

Nice recovery from the fur shot. Cinco was doing well, too, after the first one. Then the bean messed up and gave him a second. It's taking him a little longer now - guess the depot is getting refilled.

Ick on the weather. I love snow, and I love rain, but not together, and not with sleet, too. Great day to stay inside and cuddle up with someone warm and furry!

Sending more healing vines for Rusty's p-titis, and some for you, too, Ella.

Hi again,
Here we had only snow, and not very much. Tomorrow the sun may come out. The trend for the week is warmer weather!
Rusty has had a good day with excellent appetite. Fingers and paws crossed that Merrick's Chicken Paté will continue to be liked.

Everyone have a good evening,

Ella & Rusty

Drats on that furshot but I can see Rusty is almost back in the lagoon already- workin that juice! Enough with the cold weather and freezing rain already! Stay safe and warm Ella-hope you feel better!

The LagoonMeister wants his reducie: 36 at the start of onset! We'll be setting alarms tonight. He didn't eat much of his dinner, I guess because the huge drop from 139 to 36 affected him. Now, at bedtime, he really wanted food. I put a little maple syrup in some of his LC and he ate that right away. I have a bowl of half Wellness Core and half Merrick for his nighttime food. The Wellness Core is higher in carbs.

I guess the IM vet was right: his dose is too high! (I'm sorry I took it back up today!)
