Good Morning, Everyone,

It's a nice autumn day here. Rusty had a good night, snuggled between his beans with his head on his little green pillow. This morning he napped in his little bed by the radiator, had a combing by his papabean, and was encouraged to eat some more of his breakfast (the usual routine). We are doing chores (Edward is raking leaves; I made a minestrone for tonight and did the laundry) so that we can go out this afternoon for a walk on the woods trails at the VIC (Visitor Interpretative Center) at Paul Smiths. It will be the first time since my surgery, because I wasn't "allowed" to drive until a few days ago. Really looking forward to it.

Sounds like a perfect fall Sunday. A nice walk in the woods and coming home to a sleepy cat and a warm bowl of homemade soup. Yum!

It was a lovely day. The trails were gorgeous. Rusty was basking on the rug in the sunshine when we left and asleep in his basket when we returned. This morning, just before lunch time, Edward took Rusty outdoors. The neighbor kitty, Leylia, was in our backyard, but Edward didn't see her. Rusty did, however, and gave her a chase. He sure doesn't like other cats invading his yard! He sure can move fast when he wants to!

He's waiting for us to come down to watch TV and hold his dinner dish for him. (We're watching the series "Indian Summers" on PBS; it's an excellent historical drama set in India in the 1930s. There isn't a likable character in the whole story!!)

Sounds like a perfect day. Beautiful scenery and a lagoon visit. Topped by a kitty waiting for a lap. :joyful::joyful:
