Good evening of the Full Snow Moon, a comet, and some even have an eclipse!

Rusty has had a green day and a poor appetite to go with it. He'll probably bounce this evening. Afrer the bounce I think I'll reduce his dose by 1/2 drop.

Very cold here today. The high was 11 degrees and it was very windy. Rusty spent the day on the radiator, getting ready for the party tonight.

Tomorrow is the big day of Ice Carnival-- the parade. We're having a party here after the parade. A big storm is supposed to move in on Sunday. It will make up for the thaw and rain.

I'm getting caught up in The Grapes of Wrath (on TV). Haven't seen it in ages. It certainly has relevance for our time. Bbl,

Sending lots of appy vines for my favourite kitty chef. :bighug: I hope the party will pick up his appetite. He's such a good host.

It's our turn for the big thaw and rain.:rolleyes: There are some patches of clear sky, but probably not enough to see the celestial events.

Morning Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee:

I hope you are surviving the weather that has hit the East Coast... WOW, alot of snow! and I would imagine ice and general nasty vs pretty. Stay warm! That means you too Rusty! :cat:

Did you see any of the stellar event? I was able to see the full moon, but none of the erst. It had to have been darn cool for anyone that could view it all.

Rusty, you are looking great! all that green! :D:D:D:cool: The lagoon at Camp Stu is so lucky to have you. Remember to eat your fuds, 'K? Quite the full moon party you hosted the other night. Bug Lola and Vanessa are still talking about it. Lola says she is sorry if she was a little crazy... she just get so excited when she can travel and play in all that snow. She and Bug were so proud to be able to serve up some Paw Prints Pizza. It goes without saying that Vanessa loves her barista job, and was even more thrilled when all the kitties loved her concoctions. :cool::joyful:

How was the ice carnival? I always remember you talking about it, it must be so pretty. What a cool tradition. Sounds like there must have been enough ice this year to make it all happen. How hard all must have to work to out it all together. Hope your party afterwards was grand, I am sure it was.

All is well here in the PNW. Lola, Bug and Vanessa continue to LOVE their CATIO. They are in it all the time. :joyful::joyful::joyful: The only "problem" we have is getting them to use the cat door! :eek::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:;) Bug just stares at it, as if to will it open. Vanessa just says nope, don't think so. Lola looks at it, and then paws and pounds and pounds and pounds on the door to get us to come and open it for her! :woot::woot::woot: Silly cat. Too funny! Weather is in the last legs of winter here... we are beginning to warm slightly, with signs of spring! There are a few buds, and I saw some pussy willows this morning. We had a rather dramatic SNOW DAY here on Monday. HAHA, dramatic for us! :rolleyes::smuggrin: Nicholas and William continue to do well. Nicholas had his first report card from school, and he nailed it all, all outstanding marks. Kudos to him! William loves school, following in Nicholas's footsteps. With the improvement in the weather William was able to get to one of his favorite parks, Meadowdale Play Park, this past Thursday, for some serious trail and water/puddle fun. Both boys are still swimming (duh). This past Friday Nicholas had a half day at school, and asked if he and William could spend the afternoon at the pool. WOW, what fun that was! There are videos in the swim and park links, I hope you enjoy them. For me, I get out when I can, mostly local hikes, like Meadowdale. I am so looking forward to spring so I can hit the trails here there are everywhere once again. Been a tough winter here to get to many places, what with record snowfall affecting all out mountain passes and some lowland areas too. Hiking travels soon, I hope!

Have an excellent week! Hope all is well with everyone. :):)

@Michelle and Mannie (GA) :
Thanks for the great report. Wow, that snowstorm sure looks pretty, but I'll bet that heavy, wet snow disappeared pretty quickly. Love the pics of the Catio in the snow. Love the pics of Lola in the Catio! What a treat for her, and for Bug and Vanessa, too. Interesting that none of them figured out how to use the cat door. I wonder how long it will be? The "escape artist" should certainly have it figured out by now.

Those swimming pictures of the boys are fantastic. They both have grown so much, and Nicholas looks just like an olympic swimmer when he does that underwater fish-like propulsion. What fun they are having in that pool!

Nice that you and William could get to Meadowdale and that William could get in some good branch and rock throwing. He looks so happy in his "element".

Your pics of Meadowdale without snow look like spring is about to appear. Soon you'll be back on the trails.

The Ice Carnival was great (last day is today). We had lots of fun, and we had a good party last night. We are in the midst of a serious snowstorm. I was supposed to lead a ski tomorrow, but I postponed it for 2 weeks because it is impossible to get into the access road.

Have a good week. I hope Greg is doing well and getting stronger and stronger.

Scritches to the kitties. Thank you, Vanessa, for the great espresso!

Morning Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee: Sorry to sort of hijack your condo.... :rolleyes:

@carfurby THX Carla, all is well here! I so have to laugh at those silly kitties and the cat door. more training today. :eek::rolleyes:;) It has been a snow year... we usually don't get much, if any. Not this year!

@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) Yupp, we had one significant snow day, the next day was ice day, as alot melted late the day before, and then froze over night. Day after that, things were more or less back to normal by days end. Such an ordeal it is for folks here.... The snow day in the catio was fun. I don't think Lola, or the others, have ever seen it. Lola had a blast. it was nice to see that they'd still use it, even with "bad" weather. :rolleyes: I so agree on the cat door! I'm not too surprised on Vanessa and Bug, as they won't even push on a partially opened interior door. Now Lola can open anything, usually. She just pounded on the glass, waiting for her doorman. So... training on the use of a cat door continues. Silly cats! Sure hope they figure it out soon. ;););)THX too on the boys, and the pool. I have to agree: Nicholas's dolphin kick was amazing. I rally hadn't seen him do that as well before. I sure hope he continues with the sport, we shall see. he's not sure yet he wants to do swim team. William has grown so much in the pool, and is as comfortable with it all as Nicholas is. So much fun! Oh yeah on William, and being in his element. Both boys love being out on trails, outdoors in general. We all can't wait for spring so we can. I had wondered on your snow.... I haven't seen too many pics, short of a few on FB by MJ with Barracuda out in what looked like over a foot of snow! :eek: Sounds like a good idea to postpone your ski. Sounds like one heckuva snow storm... stay warm, and safe. THX on Greg. He's holding his own. He is due for another set of scans and dr appts and an oncology visit within the next two weeks, so once again we hope all continues to be well. THX for asking. Have a great week!
Auntie Ella! You are so welcomes! I will make lots of trips. My bean says it is very cold there, lots of snow. You need to stay warm. no worries, I have new skis and an new warm ski suit, I is good to go! ~~ Vanessa, kitteh barista

Sounds like a good idea to postpone your ski.
Hi again. We have the most lovely snow! We rescheduled that ski because of road access, but today we went to the Paul Smiths VIC and had a great ski day. We had to break trail (in about a foot of new snow), but there were 5 of us and we took turns at the front of the line.
Thank you Vanessa, Kitteh Barista! I need new ski boots, too, and maybe new skis.

Have a good week, Michelle. I hope Greg's scans, appointments, etc. will yield good results.
