Happy April 1st, everyone!

Rusty had a good night, ate most of his nighttime fuds, and woke us up this morning zooming around playing with the cap from the toilet bolt (clearly his favorite toy at the moment). I used one of the precious Terumos for this morning's shot. Then I spent several hours working on "translating" doses on some of the other syringes I have here (Monoject, Carepoint Vet, BD). This is so frustrating! I will continue to go with the Monojects despite the problem of the "cone", because they have the best markings and don't get bubbles as easily as the BD or the Carepoint. If I get to Plattsburgh next week I will buy a box of Relions at the Walmart and try them out.

We didn't get much of the big storm: only about 2 or 3 inches of wet snow/slush. It has moved off and the day is quite mild. But the streets are a mess for walking.

Sending lots and lots of vines to Amy's crew @Amy&TrixieCat. Petey comes home today.

bbl,

Good to hear Rusty had a decent appetite and love hearing about him running around the house.
Good luck with the syringes. It's kind of crazy that it's such a struggle for all of us to get a consistant dose with no bubbles!

well...
got snow i don't want now.... as the peach trees, cherry trees, and plum trees all have blooms all over.....
I'm betting I will be losing this years fruit harvest. :(

pancakes were extra yummy! :cat::cool: Thanks again!

Extra petting for Rusty.

Love hearing about the morning zoomies!
Good job eating your fuds Rusty and I see you're on duty in the lagoon today!
Stay away from the BD syringes, the lines are crooked (and sometimes thick) and the plunger is often crooked as well.

You're welcome. We had them for lunch today, too, with the new Paul Smiths maple syrup. It is even better than last year's.
Sorry about your fruit trees.

I agree! Wendy says that in B.C. BD is the only syringe available. Is that true of Ontario, also?

Rusty had a good day today and ate pretty well. This evening's shot was with a Monoject. We'll know later whether it was too little or too much. I'm aiming for 2 drops.

For what ever it's worth, I am happy with the Relion syringes but I did use calipers when I got down to smaller number.

The toilet cap for his favorite toy is too cute. That could make the pet toy company go out of business!

Did I miss a pancake recipe?

Rusty looks good on his favourite syringes. Tracy(Leo) said she could get Monojects at a mom and pop pharmacy in Saskatchewan, but decided to go back to BD's cause Monojects hurt Leo more. I think they were 29 gauge. I have heard of some people in Canada getting a different brand of syringe from their vet, but of course the prices were higher. So BD's it is. Same in a lot of other countries too.

I believe BD is the only type available.
