Hi Everyone,
Getting a late start tonight. We just got back from the monthly mountain club potluck. Fortunately I only had to bring a salad (cole slaw). Rusty was waiting for his PMPS. He had good appetite today. He finished up the Canidae chicken paté, and seems to like it, so I just ordered him a case of 12 3-oz. cans. We can't get anything out of the ordinary in the stores up here in the boonies, and I didn't want to wait until our next trip to NYC. It's good for him to have some variety. He had a really good day, going outdoors twice. He surprised Leyla (the cat across the street) and she went running. He did some exploring of the yard and the garage, looking into the chipmunk's "doorways" (no chippies in sight). This afternoon we took the door quilts off the door from the living room to the front porch. It is wonderful to have use of the porch again. Temperatures today were close to 60 degrees! (That won't last, but it was time to take the quilts off the doors in any event; we have much more room now; our house is half cure porches, since it was built as a tuberculous "cure cottage" in the 1920s.)
Tomorrow I won't be on the board until the evening because I'm going to climb a small mountain with friends (Owl's Head Mt., near Long Lake). The day promises to be a real spring day, but we will almost certainly encounter snow/ice on the trail. We'll bring our microspikes. Edward and Rusty will hold the fort.
Wishing you all a fine evening. @Wendy&Neko : how was the regatta? At the potluck tonight everyone was talking about getting our canoes out.
