8/24 Rusty AMPS 177, fur shot, +6 181, PMPS 216

Hi everyone,

Rusty is feeling much better. He is no longer spending all day in his carrier. He is eating ok (not great; I don't think he likes FortiFlora in his fuds, but it is the only probiotic I have here at camp.). He is going outside to look for rodents. Today is day 8 of Convenia. This morning we had a fur shot. We'll see where he is tomorrow.

Very cool day today. It's supposed to get down to 45 degrees F. Tonight. We are leading a canoe trip on the Kunjamuck River tomorrow. The cool weather will be welcome because it is a challenging paddle with lots of beaver dams to climb over and then get back into the canoes without spilling!

Today I was the "leader" of a bike ride: very hilly. Tired tonight.

Hope all is well in L&LL. We're heading home on Sat.

Frustrating about the furshot.
What does Rusty do when you are out canoeing etc? Do you have to shut him in somewhere?

I don't think I'm quite ready for cold weather just yet!! Better hope nobody tips over and ends up in the water on your paddle!!

Glad to hear Rusty's appetite is better though and maybe he'll catch himself something for dinner!!

Hi Bron, we have a little 1-room cabin. He stays inside. "Camp" is used in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State to mean any seasonal dwelling. Camps can be huge, elaborate estates (the historical Great Camps of the early 20th century fit into this category), or simple cabins, and everything inbetween.

Sounds wonderful. And lovely for Rusty that he can go with you. I can imagine how much he loves to go outside and hunt in a place like that!

Glad to hear that Rusty is feeling better. Give him some scritches from me!!! As always, I love to hear about y'all's adventures..biking and canoeing in 45 degree weather...that alone is an adventure that this Florida girl is happy to leave up to the experts!!! Be safe and have fun.

It's cool here, too...not quite 40s, but low 60s so - as you can imagine - in my mind close enough to 40s !!
