    Happy New Year!!
Rusty begins the new year where he left off with the old year: unpredictable numbers, part of what is seeming to be the new Rusty. He's feeling good, however, despite his sinus congestion. Last night at our New Year's Eve party all he wanted to do was get up on the table, much to the merriment of the astonished guests. We had to hold him in our laps to restrain him. Finally he got tired of it all and retreated to his cube. That's our cat :cat:!

The party wrapped up in the early hours of the morning and we got to bed by 3 A.M. Rusty had already gone upstairs. He got a rest from tests and shots after his lunchtime shot. This morning we all went btb after Rusty's AM shot.

It's COLD here: the temperature went down to -29 F. last night and will not get above zero today. It is now 1:45 p.m. local time and the temperature is -3! The freeze is supposed to continue all week. Our group is trying to re-arrange the hiking schedule so as not to climb a mountain on Friday, as scheduled. Too dangerous in this cold.

Wishing all kitties and beans a happy, healthy New Year! Next week I'll be starting my 9th year on the board(!). Hardly seems possible.

Wow, that really is an accomplishment! I just opened Mandarin's 5th SS. Sometimes, it feels like I can't even remember life before the sugar dance and organizing my schedule around the boys' shot times.

I hope 2018 brings you lots of happiness and health!

So cute on Rusty wanting to be on the table. Probably some good fuds up there! OK Rusty, it's LagoonMeister time!

Not going to say much about your temps, but brrrrr! A little above freezing here - fleece cosy is on the hummingbird feeder, just in case.

Happy New Year and congrats on the milestone.

Fantastic full moon tonight. It looks like daylight on the snow. Thanks for visiting. I never made it to condos today!

    Happy New Year, Ella!

It was -11 with windchill here last night and I thought that was cold! -29?! I can't even imagine.

Do you think Rusty's numbers are related to all of his sinus trouble recently? I hope you can get that all sorted. Good breathing vines to Rusty and stay warm vines to you all! :bighug:

That's part of it, but the main part is the trouble I have in measuring his tiny dose on the Monoject syringes, and then trying to get the insulin in now that he is so skinny (more fur shots than "normal" = more spikes and drops). I've had problems ever since the Terumo syringes were discontinued and my stockpile finally ran out. Rusty's sinuses were much better today.
