Good Morning L&LL, Happy "Presidents" Day

Rusty got a tiny dose increase this morning because he has just been sitting in those high numbers (except when he dives). Hopefully this will even things out a bit. I am calling the dose a skinny 0.5Unit (0.32mm on the digital calipers, Monoject syringe. [up from 0.25mm]). We also started a new cartridge of Lev. today. We'll see what happens. It's the first cartridge in a new box of 5, purchased in November.

Rusty had a good night, ate most of his nighttime food and this morning has eaten almost all of his breakfast so far. He joined us at the table for breakfast. Edward thinks that Rusty is jumping and moving around even better than in recent months (i.e., even before his crisis). We are so happy about this.

Since I'm not x-c skiing today, I'm getting caught up on paperwork. And I'm baking a batch of "Cimmamum" cookies (aka Gingersnaps) for our group's "game night" tomorrow (we gather once a year for pizza and games, such as Crokinole (sp?), Mexican Chain Dominoes, Scrabble, Tak-a-Radi, etc. Great Fun!).
Speaking of recipes, I'm enclosing a file of the egg/potato casserole that some of you requested yesterday. I got the recipe from my niece, who got it from someone, who got it from a cookbook (which is credited). It really turned out well with the added bacon bits (my addition).

    Everyone have a good day

Hope Rusty starts liking his juice soon. Can't seem to get my gal to move yet. I know we are still new at this. The only game I've heard of in your list is Scrabble. Have no idea what the others are. I am never caught up on paperwork and I am procrastinating my taxes. And I have to do all my father's also.

Great news that Rusty is feeling good! Rusty...please work the juice a bit more ok?

I used to play crokinole as a kid with my favourite uncle. I keep meaning to buy a board thinking my grandchildren might like to play.

Happy Family Day from Ontario. I’m currently sitting in a Starbucks to avoid doing anything productive at home. I enjoyed the egg casserole when you prepared it during my visit. Thanks for the recipe. Good luck with the dose and the new cartridge. I’m so happy that Rusty continues to do so well!

Our friends have a beautiful hand-made board. It's a challenging, fun game.

Rusty's breathing has become more congested by this afternoon. It may be the huge change in the weather. (way too warm here). He's very low key today and has gone into his cube for his "down time". The huge drop to bg 108 may be a factor. I hope he's not having a relapse. We're watching him.

Rusty is feeling good this evening, breathing much improved. He ate some of his dinner (the rest will be eaten on the couch, in front of the TV). He sat in my lap while I was trying to eat my soup (red lentil soup made in the Instant Pot), and has been bright and cheerful. We'll see how the dose increase continues to do.
Off to watch the Olympics with our kitty. bbl,

sending more good breathing vines. can't have too many....

every time the temp warms up, all the pollens start shooting .... especially if you had moisture recently.
This is the earliest allergy season we've ever had.

so... just to know, look up your zip code on pollen.com
this may be one of his major triggers and if each day that the count goes up, his breathing is harder....
you might be able to help him....
ionizer? air cleaner? using a towel on your own hair, coats, shoes daily to avoid bringing the pollen in.....

during juniper season, my husband started brushing our dogs before bedtime and it made a huge difference for me....

Keeping the breathing vines going you way for Rusty.

The IP lentil soup is a fav here now. My dad made a crokinole board, I loved playing it with my grandparents.

Great day for Whistler athletes in Korea so far today. :)

thanks for the link, Rhiannon. I couldn't find the zip code box. It is winter here and hasn't been above freezing until today. We always leave our boots, coats and hats in the mud room.
    Wow on the ice dance!

Rusty just finished his dinner (at bedtime).

Yo, I'm on duty tonight. Surf safe, kitties!
