Another nice surf for Mowg last night! I hope he has another one today!

lately he’s been doing this very un-cute thing where he RUNS to the basement for his shot, or his tests... once there, he lays - good as gold for me to poke him however I need to. I mean I’m all about getting steps in or whatever but ... not at 6am

That is so funny how he runs to the basement. Maybe he is trying to lose you but then he lets you give him his shot...too confusing:joyful:...He sure is good looking, can't get upset with that face:cat:
 
Yes, he is definitely Mr. Most Gorgeous! I can tell by his expression he knows that too:joyful::joyful:.

I had the same problem with Luci in the beginning...I'd get the test done, feed her...and the minute I turned my back she'd slip off to the upstairs (under the bed typically) or downstairs to some other location where she was going to go for her post-meal bathing routine...and I'd have the insulin ready to go...and where's Luci? I'd be running around the house for five or ten minutes looking for her...she figured she'd been fed...and needed her nap...so I started to close the door to the pantry! Viola!:D Guess who was in there a few minutes later when mama came looking for her??? Well, Miss Luci of course - and I'd pick her up and give her the injection...and off she'd saunter. That's our routine now...She gets 15 minutes to enjoy her meal and then mama lets her roam free as soon as the shot is done.

I really learned that lesson the hard way once when we were getting ready to drive north and she decided that since something was going on, she'd go hide under the guest room bed:rolleyes:...shot delayed while I'm looking for her...and of course trying to get on the road and get everything done...also stalled while the great Luci-search commences...not anymore...

I don't know if you have a place like a pantry or laundry room with a door to close - but for us, it works wonders!

I really can’t get upset with him. At least I know where he’s going :P

Too funny about Luci! I can only imagine how stressful that could be on a timeline. It’s so bizarre what they choose to be in charge of like: yes. I will take the shot BUT I choose where :P. The pantry is genius! I will have to give it a try!!

Love the Nova Scotia tartan blanket ;). Molly likes laying on mine too!

A must for the cold weather we had a couple weeks ago! My mom works in a sewing plant so she asked one of her co-workers to make that for me, I love it!! I also have an apron. My BF is from Cape Breton so he has a Cape Breton tartan apron too :P

Mowgli chooses this blanket every time! He’s originally from Nova Scotia you know ;)

Yes, mine keeps me warm when we had that cold snap. I have quite a bit of Nova Scotia items in home. Proudly fly an Nova Scotia flag in our back yard.
Molly is from here but I'm sure she'd love Nova Scotia :p

Now that Mowgli is diabetic we will bring him every time we go home. The next trip is the end of July so I’m looking forward to Mowglis next big trip :)

you’ll have to bring Molly next time you go back!

He doesn't mind the trip back home? Do you fly home? I want to go back in July. I have no one to watch Molly. But I thought it might be too stressful for her?

I did fly with Mowgli last year and it went really well! He was a little stressed but it didn’t last, you’re allowed to let your pets out during stopovers so he got a nice little break between flights, there is also a LOT of amazing advice on flying with diabetic pets around on the forum. Give it some thought! I will dig around and try to find some of my posts about it :)

That would be great, be less stressful for me. She loves camping so she might like going home with me. My parents have two cats so that could be interesting too

When Penelope left for France I summarized how I flew and linked a few of the super helpful posts I had found on flying with a cat around the FDMB in her condo HERE. I think if Molly does alright camping and in a car that she would be a great candidate for flying!
