Hello everyone! Well, yesterday and last night were odd. Flat and lovely, but all numbers were just a tiny bit higher than her most recent. The *only* thing we can think of is, we've just started looking at where the "zero" line is on our BD syringes...the 3 or 4 random used ones I pulled from sharps and looked at all had a significant gap at the top, while yesterday's syringe had the "zero" line pretty much at the very top. I still pulled the insulin to the (eyeballed)1.25 marking, so it may have been that tiny bit skinny. Interesting to see what today brings.
Couldn't be more pleased with the consistency of AMPS and PMPS though!
Hope you all had a good night, and wishing you safe surfing today! With love, Nikki
PS: shopping for calipers today lol

AMPS 6.1 (110)
1.25 U Lantus
+3 4.3 (77)
+4 5.1 (92) ... looks a tiny bit uncomfortable, think she's a bit constipated.
+5 4.3 (77)
+6 4.4 (79)
+10 5.2 (94)
PMPS 5.6 (101)
1.25 U Lantus
+2 4.3 (77)
+3 4.9 (88)
+4 4.8 (86)

Willow looks great and has been pretty consistent despite that so hopefully there hasn't been too much deviation in the syringes. Have you considered using calipers for dosing?

The first time I encountered the variation in the zero line, I separated the syringes and only used the ones with the zero line pretty much at the top. You can actually see the difference in Bailey's SS where she went from a very colorful bouncy ss to a much flatter ss when I made the change the first week of November 2018.
I've tried many things since so that I can use all of the syringes and not just the ones with a matching zero line. I have finally started using the calipers to confirm dosage, and I think it helps tremendously.
Maybe if you use calipers, Willow will have even fewer blue surf days and go all green?

Hi, we're actually going out to buy calipers today after Willow's +5 or +6 :) It's ridiculous, that there is so much variation on something that is so important :( This morning the zero line was pretty good (ie where it should be) so I gave a fat 1.25 to account for the differenc and she went down to 77, so really hoping calipers can bring her to all green. Thanks! With love, Nikki
