Good morning!
AMPS 101 shooting 2.0u

Boomer ate most of his overnight foods, calling me around + 9 and being rather persistent about it so I got up, stirred the wee bit of food left in his auto feeder, and went btb. Not sure that he ate any of it afterwards.

Last night when my daughter and her family were leaving, we opened the door to find a blizzard happening. Wow was it ever snowing heavily! And it was supposed to stop around midnight but it's still snowing:rolleyes: And apparently there is a chance of it changing to freezing drizzle sometime so I guess my plans to go for a drive to find some hawks/eagles/owls will not happen today.

Today's photo is another of the Wood Duck hanging out in the heated pond in one of our parks. He has "fallen for" a female Mallard.....don't know where all the female Wood Ducks are there were plenty of them around in the summer! Anyways, after hiding under a bush for a bit they came out and gave me lots of opportunities for photos!

Deputy Boomer: nice start. Surf safe today and keep those kitties in the lagoon safe, too!

Neat picture, Judy. Sorry that today won't be a good photography day. Snowing hard here, too, but we are not expecting freezing rain, thank goodness. Going to a rally to protest Trump's fake "emergency".

Great day for Boomer! Good thing you didn't have any plans.

Love the pic of the two ducks. I didn't realize how much bigger the mallards are. I was thinking of you last week and wishing I had my camera. I was at a rowing training camp in Florida. There were so many types of birds on the lake there, not just pelicans. Back home we just have confused varied thrushes and robins and hummingbirds. Yes, I came back to snow.:arghh:

You went to Florida and didn't take a camera?:eek::eek::eek: :):)
I didn't realize the mallards were larger either; my previous views of a Wood Duck have been from much farther away!

And here we go again.
