What is going on this cat's BG???? His numbers are crazy, up and down all over the place! It looks to me like the lo-carb foods he usually eats are driving his BG up. He got 5% food this morning to buffer the insulin with that AM reading of 72, this is what I would normally do and it's never been a problem, but his BG went up a lot after breakfast today. Then at lunch he had his usual 2.75% food and still his BG went up after he ate. Scratching my head here, wondering what my next step - and his next meal - should be.

Lucy, the + 3 test with a - 20% variance is about 81 which is only 5 points from the AMPS . I do see that his +3 is usually lower. Was he sitting in a window today at +3 and saw a squirrel? So many things can influence their BGs. The good news is that his +5 was lower than yesterday's. These kitties are going to kill us, LOL

My advice with our senior kitties is to go with the flow! :cat: Those are excellent numbers.

I think they have off days every now and then like we do. Squallie is still looking good and the most important thing is that he feels good.

So agree, Ella , on going with the flow especially with our senior kitties . How Elmo is acting is as important as anything else . :cat:
