Hi not sure if I should post in this thread or the OTJ one because I believe my Smoochie has done it! He’s gone 2 weeks off insulin and is doing great! I’m so so happy for him and I thank you all so much for helping Smoochie and myself on his journey to well being :bighug:

My question is now that I’ve tested for 2 weeks and he’s fine how often should I be testing him now? Is it once a day or once a week and if so what time? Do I check just his nadir time approximately when he’s lowest?

    Thank you :bighug:

Congratulations! Love to hear good news these day. :):otj:

You can start with once a day testing. You don't need to test at nadir, cause nadir is in respect to insulin, which he is no longer getting. Then when you feel comfortable, go to once a week, then gradually to once a month. Test more often if anything seems off. Regular checkups with the vet to check his teeth and general well being.
