Morning girls,

I'd like to first says that posts you did yesterday were nice of you. After all you could have
deserted it with my the time I was away from the board. It's great to post again with good
news and there is another one today. Numbers are not perfect but not disastrous. Not sure
if Small Kitty will ever stop bouncing :(.

So what this major case that's now resolved ? As posted yesterday me and Amanda are
going to meet each other for the first time next Saturday. This trip wont be a short one,
we'll be meeting each other in New York (at the Glen train station on the 8th av) and stay
there for a week. We're then heading to DC at her place for another week to head to
Virgina Beach for another week (full aviation week, with a major airshow). That makes
for 3 weeks away from home. With vacation comes the challenge to find someone who's
not afraid of needles to take care of Small Kitty. Someone accepted an offer to do it and
I still had to find someone who will take over for the week-end. This was already an
impossible mission. Last Sunday I send a sms to the guy who will be the main care taker
for the 3 weeks. Suddenly, on Sunday afternoon, an employer offered a job with a schedule
with no time to get back home.....

HAD TO FIND SOMEONE FAST !!!! WAS DEPARTING IN 5 DAYS !!!! Made phone calls
everywhere and everybody had reason not to do it. These included :

My best friend
My brother
My neighbor
and so and so...

Think my mother was up there, had the idea of seeking for post of people in Montreal
offering their service for dog walking and I FOUND SOMEONE !! SUNDAY EVENING !

The first one was asking 600$ for the 3 weeks :confused::confused::confused::eek::eek::eek::eek:, NO GO !
Right after another young lady called. I was walking on eggs when came the time
to say there was needles involved. SHE DIDN'T RAN AWAY !! She said she loved
pet and it wasn't a problem. The ''young'' 12 years old lady and her mother came
by yesterday and we made an assisted practice this morning. She had some hard time
getting the haft unit (1.75) but got it on the second attempt (with the scale measurement
sheet. Small Kitty let himself being taken care off although stressed but it went very well.

She will pass by another day with me not being there and will take over next Saterday.

Start breather again, thanks to my mother or whoever watching above. CASE SOLVED.

Sorry for taking haft an hour of your time for reading this long post, I can hardly stop
when I start.

Wish you have a good day with good things on your side.

Sébastien

Yesterday's post

I'm glad you found someone on such short notice. Make sure you leave a syringe with colored liquid in it as a sample for her to compare her syringe to.

Nice sunny start for SK today. I hope he heads down for you.

Fingers crossed that your new caregiver will work out well for you. The time you and Amanda have planned together sounds like so much fun and I am sure you are both bursting at the seams to get it started.

One thought for your dosing. You could think of using 1.50 units so that the dose will be on the line. It may be a little low, but SK can pick it back up when you are back.

Hope you and Amanda have a wonderful time!! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I was going to ditto what Mary Ann said about the dose being 1.50 as it will be on the line and easier for your CG to draw up. Will she also be able to test through the day at all? If not, all the more reason to take the dose down some and make sure SK is safe.

That is awesome you found someone! I fear the day I take a vacation where I can't take Snickers because she won't let anyone but me shoot her.

Humm.. the 1.5 units (flush) is something to be considered, haven't though about it... Will meditate
on it. I've prepared a syringe with 1.75 + the scale sheet with this dose highlighted. With a trick
from Amanda (rolling the plunger instead of pulling) she seemed to be ok with this dose. We will
be exchanging during our vacation (care taker and me) so it's still possible to adjust. When
Small Kitty goes up he can stick to this higher altitude and hardly get back down. I've worked so
hard to get decent numbers, don't want to flirt with ketone while away for 3 weeks.

Will discuss it tomorrow is you want, need to recover from a major mishap that happened today...

Thanks for coming, have a good evening.
