Good morning!
AMPS 326 shooting an increase to 3.5u.

Boomer still isn't eating with his usual gusto; he was eating well up to the dental and enjoyed his new Friskies but now it's difficult finding something he likes. He had no extractions but did have a lot of tartar and I know the gum around one tooth was inflamed. He's been on antibiotics since the dental so I suppose they could possibly be affecting his appy. This is the last day for them so hopefully I see an improvement soon.

Two days ago I found a wee bump on the back of my neck under my hair. Was afraid I knew what it was so DH took me to a walk-in clinic and sure enough there was a tick attached to me :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: They removed it and sent it to our local Health Unit to test for lyme disease. Meanwhile I told the Dr I thought it might be a really good idea if I started on antibiotics; he said I could wait until the results came back but if I really wanted to start them he would give me a script. I did. And he did. I didn't go out yesterday but I did go out this morning; sprayed myself with insecticide 4 times when I was out lol. (I did use insecticide prior to this incident).

Today's photo was taken when DH and I went to Rondeau Provincial Park the day of Boomer's dental. It is a Blue-Grey Gnatcatcher. I've seen them here in London a couple of times but didn't get a good shot.

Is Lyme disease present in your area? I hope the tick was another type! I had a tiny tick a few weeks ago, too, but I found it as soon as I got back from the hike (in the Champlain Valley, where there are Lyme ticks; here we don't have them yet). They say that if you remove the tick within 24 hours it isn't a problem. I'm still watching the spot.

Good luck with the dosecrease.

Hi Ella! Yes there is Lyme disease in this area. I've heard that too about the 24 hours....something about the tick not actually biting for 24 hours. I don't know but the spot where it was really hurts so I do suspect I was bit. But I'm already on antibiotics for it and I'll know for sure next week whether it was carrying lyme.
