Because of yesterday's yellows, I was thinking of increasing maybe today! Ti-Mousse was not ready for that and he gave us a nice GREEN to start!

I'll have to find who told me not long ago: when you have very nice numbers then flat yellows, often something's brewing! She was right!:)

Very nice weather before thunderstorms tomorrow!

Hope all kitties will be safe today! :cat:

YAY :D:D:D:D!! Also, never seen that tip about the "flat yellows". We are flat...but higher yellow vs your lower yellows & only Day 6 of Lantus.

Enjoy the beautiful day before the storms!!

Hi Amy....how are you and Mr T doing?
I didn't see a post for you under the Lantus forum. Did I miss it?
(Lyane ... I am sorry to interrupt Ti-Mousse's condo)

Hi :)! We are making a turn for the better with regard to his pancreatitis flare. He was up more this morning & ate better than he did yesterday. I'm still going to get some mirtazapine in case I have give him a little "jump" to kick his appetite back into gear. He's one to develop a quick aversion once he's become nauseated, so I don't like that to hang around too long because its harder to get him out of. He doesn't like to eat a great mix of foods so its an issue if I don't just get on top of it. I may try the new transdermal version although T has no issues with pills so I may just stick with what we've done in the past.

T's # started off at 272 this morning. Official curve is Friday so will see what to do. There are some blues...we've backed off on the testing to lower stress for my man.. & will get the curve Friday. Hoping he's less inflamed so that the #s aren't impacted by that. My thought right now is that if he's still in the mid to high 200's, a dose increase will be good.

@Ti-Mousse-thanks for allowing me to officially interrupt your condo :))

It gives me a chance to have news of MR T :) Hope he gets over his pancreatitis soon!

The flat yellow cycle can mean action. There is also the highs before the low phenomenon. You will have your flat color then all of a sudden they spike up really high (numbers you hadn't seen for weeks) for no reason. Well watch out, green and lime green will follow in few hrs or next cycle.

You'll be happy, Mowgli just had a nice Blue! Hope your day is almost over and you have a nice evening Amanda!

Ti-Mousse!! You have come so far! Back in Jan you were one of the men in black, but now look at you in green!!!! Keep up the good work, both of you.
Bin oui.. It's exactly what I was telling myself this morning when I saw his green; I was thinking how worried I was in January when he kept being in BLACK all the time; all the others were going down but not him:( Now I know he's finally responding to insulin.. I'm sooo happy and relieved! :joyful:
You had Phoebe's sensor removed? Will you be replacing it or just going back to manual testing?

Having the sensor on stressed her out way too much to do it again. First she scratched it off, then we had a second one put on but she had to wear clothes over it so she wouldn't scratch it off. She was so anxious about the shirt she was wearing that she licked it it all the time and made a hole in the fabric. So we put her in an inflatable collar but she was very unhappy. We actually had the sensor taken off 1 day early because she was so sad about the collar. Tonight we went back to ear pricks and she purred through the whole thing.:)

Yay :)! She was so damn cute in the t-shirt but poor girl. Its great she's purring & happy !
I have to wonder if the stress caused by the Libre effects the BG #s? One would think it potentially could. Then again, who knows! My cat literally looked like this emoji :woot: all day yesterday after having a reaction to Mirtazapine. So, he did not sleep & looked like he got into some sort of amphetamine . He also ate & ate & ate...his dry, his wet & I told my husband we HAVE to make sure we get a BG to make sure its not in some dangerously high place :nailbiting:. It was 207 o_O....fascinating. How the heck was it not crazy high or even at least a higher # I have no idea, but I'm thankful

I wondered the same thing about the stress of the sensor and the BG levels. Ironically, the vet told me not to do ear pricks at all during the time the sensor was on because it could stress her out. But she's still purring through her pricks today, so I'm going with "know thy cat."

Wow, so glad he is at a safe number! Hope today is easier for all of you.
