Yesterday's surprising shark hunt
Good morning!
AMPS 137 shooting .5u
Not as high as I expected him to bounce, of course he could still be on the way up. Time will tell.

Boomer ate his usual +3 and extra food, some of his +6 and none of his +9, not even the chicken. I'm pretty sure he eats his +6 much later than 2:00 (so then he's not hungry for his +9) so I'm thinking of changing his auto feeder timers a bit and eliminating one of the meals.

Allen ate very well last night and left us a deposit in the lb.

Yesterday's party was a total success! And even my keto german chocolate cake was quite edible :smuggrin: We still have some clean up to do in the kitchen. And today I need to get some props together for a baking session I have with a 3 year old on Thursday. It's not happening in my kitchen but in front of a backdrop.

I'm really feeling the need to get out for my walks; apparently fall migration is already starting with some of the shorebirds. I'm really hoping to see the Loons that stopped here during spring migration (I missed them of course :rolleyes:)
 
I hope Boomer slides back down and surfs today. Our kitties have the worst timing. Glad things worked out yesterday and the party was a success. Great report for Allen.

We see loons every time we are on the water; and they do pop up right next to the canoe. Lots of loons with chicks this year, too. Hi Wendy!
Judy, the adult loons "raft" in a huge gathering every year during the first week of October on Lake Clear, here in the Adirondacks. It is quite something to see. They gather just before migrating to the Atlantic coastal waters. The juveniles stay for another month to get strong and they then fly--apparently alone-- to the Atlantic, where they stay for 4 or 5 year until they are mature enough to breed. Then they return to the northern lakes to mate.

I think Boomer looks just fine; Allen too. Glad the party was a success.

That's so awesome about the Loons. I've only ever seen one pair (they were on our river last winter) and possibly one on a nearby pond (really too far away to tell for sure). I dream of getting a good shot of one!
