Well that is a highly unusual AMPS!

Boomer ate most of his overnight fuds, leaving about half of his +6. He even ate all of his +9. Hmmm 2 unusual things this morning lol I wonder if one caused the other

Allen ate very well last night, did not leave us a deposit in the lb overnight but did leave us a small one during breffis (after DH cleaned the box lol)

It's finally nice here on a morning when I can actually go out (DH home and no photo session) so I'm heading over to our closest pond right after t/f/s. DH will test Boomer at +2.

So I went to a nearby pond right after t/f/s. Drove into the parking lot; the grounds crew were there and had just finished cutting the grass and were blowing the clippings off the sidewalks. sigh. I figured they likely scared everything out of the area. Then I noticed a woman photographing the back of the tourist centre building that is on the same grounds as the pond. Thought that was kind of strange so I took a closer look. And starting shooting! This Red-Tailed Hawk was perched on a pole on the roof, flew to this wooden statue, flew into a small tree then onto the ground about 10 feet away from us.....then back onto his original perch. I consider this day a success!

 

DH tested Boomer at +2 (since AMPS was lower than normal this morning). +2 67. DH gave him a spoonful of turkey pate.

Yup I knew he had plans for today. Even with the food an hour ago, +3 45.
Gave a spoonful of medium carb ff and now he's eating his normal +3

+5 56 no food
+5.5 65 giving some food now

I wonder if the hawk was hoping to see animals scampering away from the grounds crew for an easy meal.

 

Boomer waited until mom was home.
