Oh boy you asked a question there... ha ha I think his SS says it all. The moment I decided i was going to take charge was the turning point. His vet is wonderful and very supportive however I got the impression that they thought that they knew best. The ah ha moment came when I heard that I needed to stick with the high fiber dry food ( he was on this for several years because of a constipation issue) because she didn't think pumpkin and miralax would work that well for him and I heard again how she knew all about it as her son is a diabetic. They had him in for a curve for the day, called me four hours in to say there was no point as his BG's were in the 600's due to stress and they would have to teach me to home test. I didn't wait I went to walmart bought the meter and got on U-tube and taught myself how to home test, started reading stickies and posts and well here we are.... almost there and with a happier cat. Love this community more than I can say.
