I wonder how much of that is stress, he knows when feeding time is and was at his door yelling for a good half hour before shot time, then it took 20 minutes of wrestling with him to get the test  The morning could have been a fur shot. It looked and felt fine, but I always feel the fur afterwards and I seems like I felt wetness and I could smell the insulin.

I was going to get a test between the PMPS+6 and AMPS, but when I went in to test and give him a snack, his meter had a dead battery and I was too tired to hunt down another one.

Now I am btb to try to get some sleep before my cats decide its breakfast time.

I hate fur shots, but you'll get him on track in no time.

I hate them too. My first one in a long time, he is just such a wiggly guy and his shot time is currently set 6am :coffee::coffee::coffee: I am usually only up at 6am if I am still up. Plus I have been doing some long nights attempting to trap a cat before we went into subzero temps. We will both get better:rolleyes:I am not too bent about it since I suspect he has been overdosed for quite a whil and needs a depot drain and these highs are just another bounce off his low run yesterday. He is just pretty subdued today in these high numbers and it makes me sad to see him that way. Though its been nice to have him just chill on my lap for tests today.

His ears are a pretty big mess from previous attempts to test him. I won't even use his left ear, which made yesterday's fun harder when I had to use the same ear over-n-over. He will get a lot easier for testing I think when I can get them healed up.

He likes to stand on my chest and use my nose for a cheek scratcher just like Chris did :)

As you know, testing gets to be second nature over time. He will figure out that the process makes him feel better.

Nice to have the nose rubs :)

Remember these early days, Melanie, so you can look back at them when Lincoln's healthy, happy, sliding down the dosing scale and a peach for testing and shooting. Then, perhaps, you'll fully understand the miracles you work with these very special kitties.
