Yesterday's Condo

Here I am, late again! Long day and sore fingers are to blame.

Cinco was a good boy and surfed blue while I was gone. Poor baby didn't get his usual +6 snack because DH said he would test and feed at +6 and forgot!! I knew I should have set Otto! He was very hungry at dinner time and inhaled his first serving and seconds. He would have welcomed thirds, but I didn't want to overload him.

Minka's chemo went well - her BW was good and weight stable. Nothing remarkable in the the consult afterwards.

I went to a place called Pet Food Express today and found a bunch of foods I haven't seen elsewhere - big selection of Weruva and BFF, as well as some Ziwipeak and Stella & Chewy's, both of which I have been wanting to try. They had a lot of others that I was unfamiliar with. I wish I had written down the names. I'm going back to do so on Friday when I'm in Sac for my cortisone shot. Does anyone have the numbers on Stella & Chewy's? Their website is useless. I know Elise feeds it, and maybe some others? Most interested in carbs and Phosphorous.

Tonight we tried Hounds and Gatos Lamb/Chicken/Salmon. It was a hit with ALL kitties!!! It's on Dr. Lisa's list, so knew it was a good choice.

I'll try to get to some condos tonight, but if I don't have the chance, I'll definitely do so tomorrow.

I tell ya, those hubbies....I will add that to my list of reasons to be happy I am single

I have not given Skooter any variety of foods, he gets his Nature's Variety chicken and that is it lol...so no help on the fuds...

Sorry about your hands. Glad the rest of the day went well. Interesting that they had Stella& Chewy's as there are production issues right now. I was supposed to get some delivered from chewy.com but they called to say it's on back order. I called Global where I bought it last and they don't have the freeze dried either. They told me it is less than 1% carbs. They wouldn't let Lisa Pierson publish the info. I asked why and I got a song and dance that didn't make sense.

Those "boutique" pet stores have all kinds of different foods! Expensive, but a good choice of lots of stuff you can't find at PetCo or PetsMart

The Hounds & Gato's didn't go over well here. China ate it once and then tried to bury it....LOL

Happy to hear about the kitties eating for a change! Sounds like other than your hands, you've had a pretty good day!

Good ol' Otto...never have to call and remind him, set an alarm or worry that he got "busy with something" like you do with husbands....LOL

Hi Tricia, sorry to hear your arthritis is hurting your hands and that you have to wait so long for the shot Unfortunately, Otto is the only guy who won't ever forget Good luck with the new fuds- always a challenge!

Glad to hear that everyone is liking the new fuds. I've heard of hounds and Gatos but never seen it. BTW I talked to the rep for Nulo and the Meda series that they sell at PetSmart is the same as the FreeStyle that they sell at the boutique shops. Ye numbers look good for Carbs and Phos, but I still need a little clarification. They're having the nutritionist call me back.

I hope the shot helps you out on Friday, I wish it could be sooner.

Cinco finally made it to the lagoon! I don't know if there are any other kitties still there, or not - maybe Max and Skooter. I'm fine with a PJ party tonight.

@tiffmaxee they had a limited supply of the Stella & Chewy's and the clerk told me they were having trouble getting more. She said it was what she feeds her own cat. I got the freeze dried. Do you add water or feed it dry?

@Ann & Tess I had not heard of the Nulo brand at all. I will check it out at Petsmart, too. I'll be interested to see what you find out.

In doing my research on the brands I saw today, I found that BFF lists their As Fed and Dry Matter values on their website. Why can't they all do that????!!

I'm glad things went well with Minka's chemo treatment today. Poor Cinco not getting his snack. His numbers look good lately. I hope your hands feel better soon.
