Yesterday. Caber Yr 2 Day. 102

Not the best night for Ollie. She kept vomiting into the wee hrs. When I picked her up to put in playpen (how did I manage without one all these yrs) you could feel how hard and round her abdomen was. Didn't seem right to me. And it hurt her, boy did she growl. What happened in the few hrs from the vet to being sick......

She was sitting up alert and ready to be let out this morning. She gets fluids today, that will help.

Prayers and hugs to @Judy and Boomer as our Boomer flies high on his wings. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

So was last night a p'titis flare?
Glad she's better this morning.

Don't know. She was so good all day then in matter of hrs as sick as can be.

Some I think was a food I gave. I don't give it a lot but occasionally for change of pace, maybe from anal glands being expressed since she kept licking and then I found the poo all in her fur back there so she was getting some of that in her. Stress from vet though she seemed fine for the few hrs until she was sick. I will give fluids shortly and give cerenia just in case.

I'm sorry to hear that Ollie wasn't feeling well..I do hope that resolves itself soon. Poor little thing.

You try to have a better day than night Paula!

Sorry to hear about Ollie after she seemed so well yesterday. :( How is she now Paula? I hope she's better, poor baby. :bighug:

That's so cool about all the the different animals around your neighbourhood. There are lots of animals around here but they're so wild. Not at all like when we lived in Suburbia and I had 3 generations of raccoons that I could hand feed. :p All the animals here are wary of humans, even the squirrels, as soon as I open the door to feed them they take off for the trees, don't even look back till they're up the trees!! :(

So have these ducks adopted you?

Oh, poor Olive! I hope she feels better. It's always disheartening when they vomit and or diarrhea. Hope she starts feeling better.

Those ducks look like turkeys! I have never heard of Muscovy ducks before.

She is eating. Gave her some cerenia. Her abdomen doesn't seem to hurt when I touch it today. After her main meals she takes herself into her own and spent the morning there.

The ducks just wander through the 2 yards that I know of so far. Wonder if there will be ducklings later this year.

Ollie seems to be better although very sedate and quiet.

Certainly a surprise to see them. This afternoon I saw a huge bird land in a tree. It had a big round body but not the neck of a turkey. And the turkeys aren't that round. It has a shreek before flying to next tree. Don't know what it was. So hopefully it will come back and I can look it up.
