Loving that number today for Caesar.:D:D:D In 3 more days,on Jan 20th he will be officially :otj:for 100 days. Can't believe it, time has flown by. I am so thankful and blessed he is still doing well. :) I decided to wait and not start Maddie on the Zyrtec till yesterday, since she had a steroid shot, I let it work for her. She got her first pill yesterday. She was a champ at letting me give it to her. Just hope she continues to let me pill her. Starting out with 5mg once a day to see if it helps her. She seemed to tolerate it very well. I just pray it helps. Guess I will know in a few days. Hope all is well with everyone and as always sending good vines and hugs.:D:D:bighug::bighug::bighug: Tried to upload a recent pic of Caesar but it said something about the contents do not match the files extension...if anyone knows what I'm ding wrong, let me know..thanks:confused:

Biggest thing I've learned is to keep him on a good feeding schedule, and not to panic if you get a higher BG than usual. ( If you do, try to think what was different that day).I feed small amounts several times a day. (every 3 to 4 hours if possible).I tried feeding larger amounts a few times a day, his sugars stayed normal but in the higher range..(90-120s). His smaller feedings he stays lower (70-90s). It was super hard to quit checking his BG's, but I am down to checking him once a week and I try to do it at different times each week. I sneak a couple extras every once in a while. ;)I still monitor his drinking and peeing. So far he's doing great and its such a blessing to not have to give him shots. He's still really good about his BG sticks too. Congrats to you and Elmo, so exciting. Love to hear when another kitty heads to the falls. Prayers he continues to do well.:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank u so much, Jerida:bighug:. Your post was perfectly timed and a gift to Elmo and I . After hoping and working toward remission , then arriving at it I found myself thinking "now what ?". Much good info is given here on FDMB but it is wonderful to get first hand accounts and ideas as well. Will be keeping u and Caesar in our thoughts and prayers, for continued , permanent , remission success :bighug::bighug:
