It's been another fine day for Miss China!! As Billy Crystal would say:
Lots of drama at DM's today....I guess one of the other ladies had her aide come today and she went down to talk to DM about possibly cleaning for her and her current housekeeper was there so it was kind of awkward. Then DM chickened out and instead of telling her current one that we were letting her go, she told the "new" one that she already had a housekeeper
....then the phone started ringing and by the end of the morning, there'd been a loud argument in the hallway (current housekeeper and the lady that sent her aide down), the stalker lady calling me to tell me all about it and remind me that her sister would be happy to work for mom and tears from all over.....Despite me telling the current lady that she should just go ahead and work and ignore the comments (and to tell the busybody's to "go to he**", she ended up doing about half and leaving. I swear that apartment building is supposed to be full of seniors but they act like 3 year olds most of the time!!!
Took DM to PT and she did MUCH better this time! They'd really been scared a couple weeks ago when she couldn't catch her breath but today she was walking all over the place...amazing what increasing the Lasix can do!!
Oh.....other good news!! Despite China being unwilling to do any exercise of any kind lately, she manage to lose some weight in the last two weeks....5.8 ounces if I believe the scale!! That means from the time we started this weight loss journey (7/24/16) to today, she's lost 33.6 ounces!!
She's still got a long way to go but at least she's still making progress!!
Sending prayers and our strongest vines to Les on the news of her dear Gussie's diagnoses....I've said it before and I'll saying again.....Cancer just plain sucks
