Sunny start!!!! And he went into some blue last night!

But now, of course, i am little paranoid )because he dropped a lot last night) about what he'll do when I leave for work... but I'll be home until his +3.5 today.

(Going back to sleep for an hour or so LOL)

Yay for a yellow start! And there was even some blue last night. Keep working the juice Gordy.

Ah yes, the double edge sword....we want lower numbers, but then we have anxiety about leaving for work. This is a difficult dance.

Congrats on that blue! Get a+ 2 & +3 to see where he's headed this morning. Feed a little higher carb if necessary. Does he have food out during the day?

To answer your question, he gets a snack from the autofeeder at +2, +4.5 and +8. It dires times in the future, I can put so HC wet. I dont really have any MC.... any suggestions for some? All I have is my Evo dry (told its 8%) and Rex's dry. Its like Merrick's with raw boosters? She seems to like it. I am sure its super high lol.

Ok! So his +3.5 was 323. I'm sure he'll be fine today. Bummed he jumped into pink like that though:(
He's been stuck in pink for a while with a touch of yellow. Those blues would certainly trigger a bounce and he may have gone a little lower last night. Bounces are also progress, it means the insulin is starting to get him into lower numbers.

Bouncing - Bouncing is simply a natural reaction to what the cat's system perceives as a BG value that is "too low". "Too low" is relative. If a cat is used to BGs in the 200's, 300's, or higher for a long time, then even a BG that drops to 150 can trigger a "bounce". Bouncing can also be triggered if the blood glucose drops too low and/or too fast. The pancreas, then the liver, release glucogon, glycogen and counter-regulatory hormones. The end result is a dumping of "sugar" into the bloodstream to save the cat from going hypoglycemic from a perceived low. The action is often referred to as "liver panic" or "panicky liver". *Usually*, a bounce will clear kitty's system within 3 days (6 cycles).

Swung home on my break. His BG at +7.5 was 365. High but it could be worse. Hopefully he'll come back down some more before his evening shot. *fingers crossed*
