Olive's still doing good & PJ looks like a sweetheart!![]()

PJ looks a lot like Gus!
Keep on track, Olive. Lookin' good.
Gus is doing great: lots of energy, into everything, loves to play. I can't believe he's 10 years old.. He acts like a kitten. He lost 4 ounces last week--right on track. How is Gus?

He was 13 lbs., 9 oz. when he arrived. He is a medium-large cat (or large-medium). The shelter had him on a "diet" (if kibble can actually be diet food!). After a week of running around, playing, etc. he was 13 lbs. 5 oz. Two to Four ounces weight loss is what Dr. Pierson (catinfo.org) advises for a week. On Friday he will be weighed again and adjustments made. I am assuming that he is gaining muscle. Hopefully he is losing fat. He feels fat under all that fur!How big is he that he needs to lose some? Have fun snowshoeing.

I am following Dr. Pierson's chapter on obesity and counting Gus's calories.
