Good morning friends, it's Caturday again.
Yesterday morning I thought I saw a monarch butterfly fluttering about in the winter wind. Oh, must be a leaf I thought and when I blinked to reset my eyes, yes indeed it was a monarch wending itself in the lingering post-nor'easter breeze towards the lavender bushes.
Azalea has had some ups and downs this week with her mouth ooze, appetite and hydration. Brought her to vetty twice this week for fluids and recheck, the second time was yesterday because her ooze had become bacterial-looking (thick yellowish looking) despite the clavamox being in play. He gave her an injection of another antibiotic (not convenia) and continue with the clavamox for another 7 days to see where we're at.
In meantime, vetty finally referring us to a vet'y dental specialist. I feel trepidatious about it all but I know that Azalea is both physically uncomfortable and full of the will and spirit to continue.
@Carol & Murphy: the entero arrived and I started it right away with everyone and especially for Azalea. so am crossing paws that it helps though I know it will be gradual.
Spunky is doing much better lately with both the clavamox and a single dose of cerenia. The cerenia was the turnaround appy wise. Continuing her remedies. Carla (@carfurby): you'd be not surprised to hear that, yes indeed, only natural pet herbal order delivery slower than molasses; still waiting!
Bella and Dancer pretty much two peas in a pod. Their coalescence is heartening to see and feel in them and in our household's healing since Sootie's passing. heartening for Bella who had lost her BFF and for Dancer who, even in her own grieving, let her nurturing side continue to share and shine.
Lately Dancer also keeps company with Azalea at every opportunity, too. Bella joins in once in awhile too.
I felt so heartened by Les's (@Gussie's mom) recent update and their journey in listening to Gus and following his lead
. All blessings for you Les, Gus, Jett and Lola.
Sending gently flowing vines for all in need and in transitions.
