Good morning

Well, these numbers are certainly not the best way to start a Monday morning. :( I am nervous for the number I will get tonight.

We got our first "snow" of the season last night. It is embarrassing that Fairfax County Public Schools has a two hour delay today. My school is opening on time. Kiddo is staying home sick today so the delay won't affect us. She was up at 4am this morning when I gave Osha her insulin. She is sleeping now, so I hope she can rest and feel better.

I hope everyone has a good Monday.

That is funny that a little bit of snow caused a 2 hour delay for schools to open.
Osha come on down. He'll probably have a nice cycle tonight.

NJ was notorious for school delays over snow just like that. Osha, off the trampoline please. Hope your DD feels better soon and you have a nice day Amanda.

We got about that much snow and schools are closed today. Crazy.

I hope Osha slides down for you today. I hope the your DD can rest today and feel better. Nice that your mom can be there for her and you don't have to worry. Sending prayers.

That's hilarious about the delay! We got 5 inches over night and school is starting on time.

Hope your daughter feels better soon.

HaHa on the snow!!!! What were they thinking?????
OK Missy Osha lets go easy on mama bean tonight. You don't have to be concerned for today's numbers;)
Hope DD feels better soon;):bighug::bighug:

that snow dusting is hilarious -
Does your daughter have norovirus?
I hope your classroom is healthier, Amanda
wash your hands and be careful

OMG - that is almost as bad as Texas closing schools for that much snow - but we have idiots here that think they know how to drive in the stuff we only see once every 5-10 years. :banghead: And don't get me started on the flooding. LOL.

I will stay home just to avoid being on the road with the stupids.

I hope your DD gets some rest and is feeling better. Sinus infections are the worst - and then if they drop into upper respiratory infections they seem to last forever (at least with me).

Difficult day....not liking the numbers...FD is just ridiculous. At this point, I just want Osha to continue to feel as good as she does.

My classroom is still sick. I had to send another student home today. It is just never ending. The students that I have previously sent home said the illness spread though the entire household. I need the power of the L&L vines to keep it away from me.

Kiddo has something different than is going through my classroom. Her's is an upper respiratory infection. She isn't much better tonight. She said she is feeling better, but has a slight fever and is still producing too much snot :stop: I an not very hopeful that she will attend class tomorrow, but I will access the situation before bed tonight.

I don't know if my room has norovirus. They aren't knocked out the way I was when I had it many years ago. It is an intestinal "something"

My first year in college at Texas (moving there from Michigan) there was a dusting of snow and they cancelled school that day and for the next day. I was shocked. The D.C. area is almost just as ridiculous.

Lol. Yep. The ice is what gets everyone here that has never lived outside if south east/west Texas. Ice is NOT snow and anyone that says the can drive on ice is an idiot. Lol.

Lots of water, vitamins and healthy eating is the only advise, oh and several cans of lysol disinfectant spray and toilet bowl cleaner. If you hand wash your dishes add a bit of bleach to your dish water.

Can you clean your own classroom? I would come help ya if I could.

For you DD try the zinc lozenges - like these

Oh I can clean my classroom and I try my best to do it while I am there, but it is overwhelming. I brought in a bleach solution that I am using when I can, but I am SO busy during the day it is difficult. My time is in such need that I will go all day without using the restroom :arghh: Too much coffee in the morning is trouble for me during the day.

It is SO hard, but I try not to touch my face all day. I swear that is the only reason I am not sick. All of my clothes from the day go directly into the wash. (Another reason why teachers don't have nice clothes)

You're doing a great job - the other thing to watch is don't let your food touch any potentially contaminated surfaces (which is basically every surface)
Which is why I don't eat at school right now. Maybe that's why I am not sick. I don't have the time to pee, so why should I eat.

Looks like Ms. Empress will let you get to bed early tonight. May be very good for the whole house if you can. I will add you to my daily prayer list.

Osha what is with you and Lincolns PM tonight??? no racing up or down you two!!!... The Canadian in me is trying not to smile at the delay due to all the snow lol but i am failing... Hoping your classroom gets better really soon!
