Shot skinny 0.5U (probably more like 0.25U)

He seems better this morning - appy still not great. Only eating about 1/2 his food last night and so far this morning. Still acts painful.

Tested for ketone - meter="Lo".

I will probably shoot 0.5U tonight due to Epogen and then reduce through the weekend to 0.25U and see how he does number and eating wise.

Lizzie, you are doing such a great job juggling the dose to keep him safe and to compensate for the Epogen shots .

Was hoping to get BW results back today but no-go. Maybe tomorrow.

Eating was so-so today. @Beth 73 I am wondering if this case of Duck is an "off" case. Hubby ran by Petco and grabbed 6 cans to try from a different batch. If that is the issue then I have to find another food. I can't afford to pay 2x for food. :rolleyes: :arghh:

Today I didnt mix any duck in with the venison. The venison is a denser food so it may be that it is filling him up quicker. He sure is having very nice poo's :D He is a regular Joe lately.

Just paid for the transdermal gaba. Should be here early next week. I think I will increase his current pain meds by a tiny bit since I will be home the next couple of days.
 
Lizzie, which venison do you feed Gizmo ? Needing an alternative for Elmo. Thanks :) Elmo is still chowing down on the duck Will be interested to see what you find.
