Yesterday at Tricia's House of Chaos
I'm sitting in the waiting room at UCD with Sasha next to me, grumbling in her stroller, waiting for the dentist to type up the discharge notes so I can take my baby home. DH met me here an hour ago and took Cinco home so he could get his insulin on time.
Except for that ugly AMPS, Cinco had a pretty good day, numbers-wise. He is - sort of - getting used to his daily trip to UCD and the new routine. That doesn't mean he likes it. He has the run of the back seat of my car (and what a mess it is!), but he still tries to get up to the front. He's managed to overcome every barrier I've created, and I'm started to think I need to get a screen like they have in police cars and taxis! For a blind kitty, he's pretty darned good at figuring out escape routes. When we were waiting for DH get here and he was sitting in his stroller, he found the one small, unsecured opening and was halfway out before I realized it!

The student that is working on Sasha's case called me this morning to tell me that she had a good night and ate all her dinner. She said that this morning Sasha wanted to cuddle, so she spent ten minutes obliging her! That made me feel good!
The dentist called later to tell me that Sasha's blood pressure was very low, and if they couldn't bring it up they would have to postpone her CT scan and procedure. Several hours later the student called to say they were able to do everything they had planned. She said that there were actually three lesions in her mouth, and they had removed all three. She said the CT scan did not reveal any bone involvement.
She said they found some lesions in her eyes and were having her seen by an ophthalmologist. She said she was starting to wake up, and I could pick her up around 6 pm. Due to my handing off Cinco, I was here 30 minutes early. so Dr. Riggs brought Sasha out to me, tucked into her jacket! She said Sasha had been "helping" her write the discharge notes, and she thought it would go faster without her assistance.
She said there will be some drops for Sasha's eyes, and we'll go over everything when she's done gathering the meds and writing it all up. So I'm waiting for that now.
Minka did not want to eat again this morning. I ended up syringing 10 cc of z/d. She did eat a little baby food during her fluids. I left the jar for her while I took Cinco to UCD and it was about half gone when I got back.
Harvey is still somewhat subdued. He didn't want his breakfast, but when I offered a different flavor, he ate most of it. If this continues, I'll be scheduling an appointment to have him checked out soon. Heaven forbid we should go a week without a new vet bill!

I'll post more when I get home.
Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans, especially Marilyn & Polly, Deborah & Shasta, Carla & her civvie Baby, Wendy & civvie Theo, and Marje & Gracie.
Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF and DH, Marje's DM, Chris' DM, Molly's DM, and Elise's DM.
