Good morning all. A crisp sunny autum day here (and oops I'm sneezing a lot this morning!)

Sootie's fasting (as of 8:25pm est last night) ambg was 132.
We made it vetty on time to check in for her abdominal u/s.
The u/s vetty is a traveling one; and had not yet checked in when I left a few minutes ago to get a cuppa Java. Am heading back there in a few minutes (stopping to get more baby fud on the way).

Sootie's not been in a kennel cage or away from home without me since her overnight spay in kittenhood. So the kennel thing is kinda freaky for her (plus two droolers, one a barker, also waiting for u/s). They do respond and with interest to calming combo of wink blink shhh. Thank gawd. Soots and I did snuggle and brush time on my lap for a good two hours, intermittently introducing her to kennel space. One of the senior house cats, Martin, a very mellow calm energy guy, stayed near us.

Hoping by the time I get back, we'll know more about the traveling u/s vet's eta. Doing bloodwork and UA today too,

Hoping all having a smoothly sailing day. Vines for all and thank you all for hanging in there with us! :bighug::cat::bighug::cat::bighug:

Hope the US , UA & BW go well today!:bighug:
Thank you :bighug: and hope all going well for you and Fritz this day and every day. I see that your Fritz is a RB. Love them! One of our rescues Bella
(She and Sootie are very bff's) is RB (or thought to be, and is very rb) too.

Sending all sorts of prayers and vines your way. We have a travelling US tech here, too, and it is so frustrating that they can't give a definite time. Hopefully Sootie will be back home ASAP!

:) Thanks, waiting now for results. Traveling u/s vetty arrived a noon (et), and in lineup is Sootie and two dogs, don't know the batting order. The droolers's beans are here waiting too.

Hi folks, we are now home, heads spinning, offering Sootie food but she's more interested in getting her bearings back at home. She as very brave girl thanks to being surrounded in everyone's vines. We thank you! She eat some freeze dried turkey treats soon as u/s done.

I'm now going to enter the lab work in SS now, from the previous and today's, as well as what I can decipher from u/s vetty's handwritten report. All in all, reg vetty said "Sootie is an enigma, no anomalies that I expected shown by u/s (though I did read u/s notes about possible Ibd, and lab work pretty normal (though some levels lower, some higher than previous), and concern me. They didn't do UA, vetty said bladder was empty when they tried mid-morning. By time of u/s a couple hours or so later, u/s notes say bladder was full. And by the time vetty got to me, they were getting ready to close for the day (Wednesday being their day for that), and I don't think anyone though to check to retry for UA post-u/s. Had I known that 1/2 hour earlier....:banghead: Foiled again!

Appreciate objective eyes do look see of the lab work, u/s and your views and suggestions. How about I enter info and then post when done? Should take me about 1/2 hr, provided computer gods in kindly temperament today! ;);):bighug::bighug:

Entered the u/s report best as I could manage u/s vet's handwriting. miffed at vetty bc he didn't say anything about u/s observations about Ibd or lymph nodes (and the handwriting is....).

The blood work I've entered what were code matches re IDEXX and SS codes/ids. The IDEXX tests (with test dates from 10/7/15 forward) included lots of stuff I couldn't match up code-wise. And some IDEXX test results similar name but completely different ranges.

Not much luck finding a resource that translates codes. Resource suggestions? Also I thought there was a sticky about blood work /codes but...when I could be mistaken...or when ya need it ya can't find it! :bookworm:o_O:banghead::bighug:

FOUND THE STICKY! that links to http://zimmer-foundation.org/sch/ajf.html
It helps some...I may end up adding rows that include the idexx range #s with the idexx codes and results?

When the range on my lab reports is different from the ones on the Labs tab, I change the the ones on the tab to match mine. I am not very good at interpreting labs, so I'm going to tag @Marje and Gracie to come back and have a peak when she can. She's really knowledgeable about that stuff.

Keep offering food, or baby food, in small amounts. Sometimes the anesthesia will leave them with an upset tummy for a while, and if IBD is a possibility, that isn't going to help. Do you have any anti-nausea meds? I agree you need to talk to the vet about the u/s findings that weren't mentioned to you!:facepalm:

Thanks Tricia. She didn't have any sedation but has a shaved belly for the abdominal ultrasound, that I think must have been pretty stressful for her. They did that snd bloodwork when I went to get coffee. Yes offering small amounts of fud, she hadn't eaten since 8:15 last night, don't want to over burden her tummy etc. she's sleeping now.

If I can offer a suggestion regarding the labs...

I should add more rows at the bottom with the vet's in house labs and their reference range. Values can differ depending on the equipment and calibration.

For any of the labs you have, if the values are out of range, could you change the color of the numbers? It makes it much easier to make sense out of what's there vs having to look at the reference range for each value. You can look the lab tab on Gabby's SS if what I'm saying isn't clear.

Thank you @Sienne and Gabby (GA) . Was just doing that! We must be psychic. I did put in brown where I changed the ranges to the IDEXX ranges, and added rows, noting also in brown the test codes and ranges that were on IDEXX but I wasn't sure if translated to some tests already on the grid. So far, red test results means high (outside the normal) blue test results means low (outside the normal), following the IDEXX color alerts. Test results on the cusp of high or low in normal range...will think about while putting out rest of kitties fuds. And reference your gabby' SS after kitty fuds...and about time to retest Sootie and offer 3rd snack supper (she's eaten two since home this afternoon), and her bg was :D at +10!!

Also I'm going to try to better decipher u/s vetty's handwriting better, look up possibles, and double check with reg vetty tomorrow when I bring Bo in for his weekly recheck.

Was there any comment on the lab report about hemolysis? The platelet values are weird.

Just rechecked, don't see any hemolysis on today's blood work or previous (using a printout that includes all three labs prior to today's..but can pull the originals and check those). Would there be a test code for hemolysis that I'm not reading right? Yes the platelet values are weird, really low when dx'd a year ago, up next two blood draws, now almost as low as a year ago.

I'm bringing Bo in tomorrow for his weekly recheck. Bringing Sootie's reports with me and will have him go over it all with me. I'm not panicking but some parts of the labs raise ??'s and what I can only partially read in the u/s written report creates enough 'what if it's...' :(:banghead::bookworm: Are some pieces of the puzzle coming together for you?

I like the way you have gabby's lab tab info. I'll work on neatening ours up. Also have fructosamines from the past few months that haven't entered. Both were mid-range normal. Thanks Sienne and spirit Gabby (GA).
