HAPPY CATURDAY!

PS number a bit higher (not much) so going to keep an eye on that. May need to fatten the does up a bit (but he did get down to 83 last night and 68 the two nights before). Fingers crossed for a green +2!

El Gato Coffeehouse is Houston's first cat cafe, partnered with the Houston Humane Society. Our mission is to provide a comfortable environment for adoptable cats until they find their furrever home. If guests aren't looking to adopt, they can enjoy cat therapy, which also helps socialize the cats.

The Cat Cottage houses our adoptable resident gatos. There is an hourly cover to play with the adoptable cats. Booking online is strongly recommended to guarantee your spot at your desired time and to avoid a wait. Coffee and other beverages and snacks are available for purchase. Full-service menu will be available with the opening of our cafe in the fall. Stay tuned for updates.

Busy day today - it is hubby's birthday. I am getting his car washed, waxed and hand detailed and then Anthony (stepson) is coming up and we are going to take him to lunch. Then back home to watch the Astros (well, hubby will - I am not that into baseball, but I will watch it with him while I surf the internet on my tablet).

I will be off/on here all day and will try and reply to those waiting as soon as I can. Now off for a shower and to get a quick breakfast going so we can eat before we head out at 9:00a - Gizmo hopefully will cooperate.

I hope you get a blue/green surf today. Happy Birthday to your DH. The coffee house sounds really cool. The Astros are doing great. It looks like they may win the World Series if they keep playing like they are.

Did NOT expect that. He didn't even touch green this morning. I was really hoping for a similar cycle tonight - I am beat! But what a great day we had! Oh well, I will muddle through.
 
Yikes, Gizmo that 64 is getting a little close to the sharks. Glad he came up a bit for you. Hope he continues to surf. :D

He did give me a relaxed cycle this morning when we had so much going on. I guess that is as much I should have hoped for. Looks like he decided to surf on his own (whew). His +4.5 is coming up in 15 min and I will test @ +5.5 to make sure he is still on the board then I have to get to bed. 17.5 hour day is a looong day.

Looks like Gizmo has a pattern here: blue during the day, green at night: wow!

If the cat cafe doesn't work out, maybe you could create a Cat Utopia boarding facility. I've been boarding Girlie and Max there for the past years when I have to go away, and they are the most wonderful people. Girlie doesn't deal well with me being away too long, and last year I was away for three months sorting out my mom, who'd been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. They rang me as they said Girlie just seemed "off", and then they drove the two hours down to Sydney so Girlie could see my favourite vet, who then told me that she was fine, but that three months might be too long for me to be away from Girlie two years in a row (was away that long in 2015 with dad before he died). Max, of course, is happy as a clam if people just have a conversation back and forth with him!

Girlie and Max always came home looking better than ever, although the down side is that I always felt like they were comparing my place to their shi-shi room at Cat Utopia and that home came up lacking. Now that Girlie's diabetic, though, they can't take her anymore, so the days of luxury spa living when I go away are over...such a pity! But it was great while it lasted, and it was actually cheaper than boarding them both at the vet's. :-)
