Sorry I didn't get back yesterday, as the week goes on trying to keep up with everything is a bit of a nightmare. This working business sure has its drawbacks!

Poor eating and comparatively poor numbers again last night but he's started off nicely this morning - hopefully tomorrow's poop will come right on schedule and without too much bother for him. I think the poor little guy face planted in the lb while he was getting yesterday's out as he came out with his head covered in lb dust. That has happened once before but I hadn't realised where the dust had come from.

Purrdy is back to his cross dressing ways this morning but he did have a lovely time digging for hermit crabs with Miss Meows on the beach last night  Tonight mum is going out for dinner so a similar run would be great. This is only the second time she's got out for dinner since dx and the first time she took him with her. Since it looks like he's permanent we have to get the diabetes/life balance going for her. She'll leave straight after his shot and be back by +4 - Purrdy behave!

Luckily I don't have a farm because I would have bet the farm on him coming in hypothyroid but the results were negative. A bit sorry about that because it would have explained a lot of symptoms and been relatively easy to treat. He'll have his IGF 1/IAA tests done next Tuesday - does he need to fast or anything? @Wendy&Neko It's only the second time the vet's run the IGF 1 and the first time she's run IAA so best to check with the experts!

Poor Vyktor and the LB dust. :( When we were using corn based litter, any dust on Neko's face was from her eating it.

Can't say I'm surprised about Purrdy's hypothyroid test results as it seems it mostly occurs because of hyperthyroid treatment or radiation. But it would have been an easier answer. As for the acro/IAA testing, no special fasting or prep required. Sounds like the vet is sending the blood to MSU (Michigan State University). It's the only place I know that does IAA testing. BTW - I don't see Purrdy's SS.

I'm glad your vet is willing to run the test. It seems like some people have a hard time getting them run.

Vyktor and Purddy, comes ober. Purddy you can brings Miss Meow, if she likes da tofurkey. China, bring extra flavor enhancer. I think I might need some myself after dat bath.

Thanks Wendy, oops on the s/sheet I have added the link now. I think yes on the sending it off to MSU, the IGF had to be sent to the same place the IAA needs to go anyway so may as well get them both done. Tee hee hee on Neko's eating the corn dust. I'm using vegetarian chicken layer crumble for litter, fortunately Vyktor doesn't have a taste for it!

Eberybody likes your mombean's tofurkey Mikey, she be de greatest tofurkey chef eber! Vyktor says I shouldn't ask Miss Meows because he wants more for himself but I sneak her in anyway and we pretend she's your cousin ober for visits ;) - Purrdy

Poor Vyktor and the lb dust. I hope his next poo isn't dramatic. He's looking good today. I hope Purrdy behaves so your mom can go out.
